relink dialog shortcut

So this is not a big deal, don't want to break anything, but I'm sure many users often have to do extensive relinking...  Gotta say I find the relinking process very efficient, except for one thing...  If you've got a media drive with all your media in a folder structure that matches the folder structure on the computer that it was created on, great... everything usually relinks when I relink the first file... Sometimes you may have to relink a few files, but generally works just fine...  However, when you're doing with someone who's worked on the project but doesn't have a clue...  when you hit a dead end and realize that you don't have the media, would be great, rather than having to cancel and go back a few steps, if there was an additional button to "make offline" and load the next offline clip...  Make sense?  I'm working with a client who's done some preliminary edits in Premiere 14 (I think she said). Sometimes I have the media, sometimes I don't... this is a tiresome process to say the least and anything that would expedite things would be welcome.

maybe I'm mising something...  I have an offline clip, I right click on it and choose "link media" which goes to the link media dialog...  At this point, I have no idea if I have this clip (assuming it's named properly".  I click on locate, goes to the locate dialog and I can initiate a search...  Since I've got everything on one external drive within a folder (with the job name) doesn't take long to search with "display only exact name matches" and get the result "file not found" at which point I hit cancel..   That takes me back to the link media dialog with the same clip still highlighted.  Would like a button on the locate file page once you get the "file not found" notification, to mark this clip as offline and go to the next offline clip...  Hopefully that makes more sense...  Not a big deal, but would save me some time and agravation...  cause I'm usually getting pretty agravated at this point cause someone's not doing a great job...

Good comment, Michael ... as always! And yea, there's times that would be so nice even in my small shop!

Does the singular "Offline" button do what you want? It will mark the currently selected clip or clips in the Relink dialog as Offline, essentially skipping them, and move on to the next in the list. Apologies if I'm misunderstanding the situation!
