Relinking offline files automatically?

Hi, I work with both Premiere and AE and often have the issue, that for unknown reasons AE-files are shown as offline within Premiere even though they still exist in the exact same place with the exact same name. I don't know why they're offline in the first place but even if they're offline for a reason... Why can't I just click on auto-relink and continue editing? Manually relinking takes a lot of time and is pointless since Premiere knows where the file is. Can't this be a standard feature? Or how about Premiere just trying to relink files automatically a couple of times unless they were made offline by the user?
