Reorder / Rearrange Video and Audio Tracks

It would be amazing to simply grab a track and move it up or down in the order of the sequence. This was something I could do easily back when I used Vegas Pro. Occasionally, I have big, complex sequences and would like to reorder the tracks for organization purposes or for shipping off to audio master. Thanks!

Upvote for this... Been using Premiere for 5 years, whole time thinking this would be an easy right around the corner no duh kind of feature

Why hasn't this been added yet? So frustrating. A major flaw in the program!

This is such a basic function. Who decided to use this ridiculous stack method, where all the videos are stacked on top and audio tracks on the bottom? In what scenario would this stacking method be useful and efficient? I want to understand the logic behind this and maybe I can get some sense of it and try to adjust. If I had 20 tracks, would I have to scroll up to that video track and then scroll all the way back down to the edit the audio? How is this going to work? I just started to using the new PP and I am just staring at my screen now in a middle of a project. Please advise! Thank you.

PLEASE integrate this option! It's so insanely basic and has largely been a deal breaker for me in migrating to PP from Vegas. Being forced to stack all video up here and all audio down there frustrates and slows down how I work on a project. Let me build my own preferred workspace!!

So important in order to create an immersive mix. When everything is scattered across the timeline, it's hard to make sense of it and we often blame the software for being non-intuitive when its the lack of ability to organize at fault.

This would definitely be a huge time-saver. As-is, we need to select everything on a track but only on that one track, then move that to a different track ... not always the easiest thing to do in complex sequences.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

It's just mind boggling that a professional video editing software like Premiere does not have such a basic feature. It's hard to believe. Adobe Audition multi-track audio editor has it, so it is somehow an assumption that Premiere would have it. I'm shocked! ...and based on a quick google search, people have been requesting this for years.
