Request: Change Audio Channel Format of Sequence After Creation

This is one of those weird old holdovers from the beginning of Premiere that doesn't make a lot of sense anymore.

I remember a long time ago where a lot of the sequence settings couldn't be changed after the fact (such as resolution!) This seems to be the only option we are still locked out of which slows down some workflows.

The workaround has always been that to change from a stereo sequence to a multi-channel you have to use a multi-channel seqeunce preset or create one, and then paste your sequence from an old one into the new multi-channel seqeunce. It's a strange and infelxible part of the interface that gets in the way.

Request: Allow audio channel format to be changed after seqeunce created. Getting tired ot jumping through all the hoops when I just want to change to a multi-channel seqeunce from a stereo one.

Agreed, here nearly a year later but I'm having the same issue, for some reason Premiere is now automatically creating sequences that I make by right clicking a piece and choosing "New Sequence from Clip" as Multitrack, which is a huge pain when I only need it as Stereo. Edit: For some reason that happened a few times in this one project, but when I tested in another it did not. Not sure what happened there, but the issue is still a little annoying!
You're really telling me I have to create a whole new sequence just to change that setting?

Please please change this. I want to be able to change a stereo to multi channel and back. This is part of a professional workflow for network delivery. I have to deliver a stereo and then split multichannel export of my promos. having to cut and paste sequences constantly is very annoying. Avid does this, and Premiere should be able to do this too. Please.
