[Request] Support for OPUS Audio Codec

Hello!

I'm a huge fan of Adobe Premiere and I've grown very accustomed to the software over the years, however I would love for more codecs to be supported from within Premiere Pro itself. Specifically, I would love for more high quality audio formats to be supported like OGG, FLAC and OPUS. Specifically OPUS since it's open source, has a relatively small file size and offers great improvements in audio quality over something like MP3.

 

If any of these codecs are added I will be very grateful.

    Ich möchte Henriko und Marco beipflichten und würde mir selber für meine Creative Cloud Installation unter Windows auch eine umfangreichere Codec Unterstützung wünschen, insbesondere auch die Unterstützung von Ogg Vorbis und Opus, nicht nur in Premiere und Media Encoder, sondern bitte dann auch in Audition.

     

    Btw: https://github.com/fnordware/AdobeOgg Plugin funktioniert bei mir leider nicht mit Audition.

     

    I would like to agree with Henriko and Marco and would also like to see more extensive codec support for my Creative Cloud installation under Windows, especially support for Ogg Vorbis and Opus, not only in Premiere and Media Encoder, but also in Audition, please.

    great contribution. that's exactly how i see it. considering the very high price of the software, there should actually be full support for all common audio formats. @10403532: please take note of this. thank you

    In Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass es immer neuere Versionen von Adobe Premiere Pro gibt, die mit zusätzlichen Funktionen und Erweiterungen ausgestattet sind und zweifellos komfortabel und hilfreich sind, gibt es auch einige Defizite, die viele Nutzer seit Jahren bemängeln. Ein wesentlicher Punkt, der oft angesprochen wird und den ich hier hervorheben möchte, ist die vollständige Integration aller gängigen Audioformate in Premiere Pro. Wie bereits in verschiedenen Diskussionen angemerkt, sind Formate wie Ogg Vorbis und Opus besonders gefragt. Die Implementierung dieser Formate sollte doch keine allzu große Herausforderung darstellen, oder liege ich da falsch?
