Revamp the Speedramp!

The speedramp feature in premiere feels very outdated with the new wave of editing tools and is in dire need of an update or new effect in the effect panel. Even if they just imported TimeWarp from After Effects or made something similar to capcut with motion blur included for ease of use, I think this would be a mega update for premiere!

Premiere Pro’s speed ramping has felt clunky for a while, especially compared to what newer platforms like CapCut and even mobile apps are doing now. The fact that you still have to fiddle with bezier handles and manually smooth keyframes is wild when tools like CapCut basically do it for you and throw in motion blur for that crispy cinematic look.

Bringing in something like After Effects’ TimeWarp or an all-in-one speed ramping effect with built-in motion blur, easing presets, and maybe even AI-suggested timing based on music beats — that would be a game-changer for Premiere. Especially for creators who want that fast-turnaround, polished feel without round-tripping to AE every time.

I don't think time remapping will be enhanced any time soon.

We used to have Time warp in Pr, but they took it out.

Anyway, if you want proper speedramp Ae is the way to go.

Editing time remapping is much easier to do on clips in the timeline then the Effects control panel.
