Select all instances of the same source clip on the timeline

If I need to apply a modification to all the istances of the same source clip on a timeline, currently I do the following:
1.Apply the modification I require to one istance
2. Copy the attributes of that istance
3.label that clip, than CTRL+F, select that label, FIND ALL
4. Paste the attributes to all clips selected

I’d be nice if the selection of all istances of the same source clip could be easier, such as via a right-click menu item?

I think you should try “Select All Matching” in the Edit menu.
If you use labels, right clicking the clip and choosing “Label/Select Label Group” might be quicker too.

That is what I was looking for, thanks. I was expecting to find ‘select all matching’ on the right-click menu also. I didn’t bother to check  if it was somewhere else! :)
    Thanks

    Thanks,
That helps, although it doesn’t apply to motion modifications (size, rotation, position), correct?

Are you applying to one clip? If so, then simply copy from the timeline, select the clip in the bin or match frame to get to it, and paste on the clip in the bin.

This is a "Source effect” ... when you apply an effect to a clip in a bin, all instances of any part of that clip on all sequences in the project will now have that effect applied.

    Everyone's mileage always varies ...
