Set Track Output Channel Assignments

Currently we can patch the Track Output Channel Assignments on a track by track basis. We select the option in the track mixer for timeline track 1 and can assign this output. Then we need to close and do it again for timeline track 2, then close and do it again for track 3, etc.

It would be great to create a matrix option where all tracks can be patched in a single matrix. The rows can be for the Mix Track Channel as it currently exists, but we should have a column for each timeline track, allowing us to patch all tracks in one simple place.

For users like myself setting up workflows on large sports events, with nuerous deliverables, mostly featuring a 16 track output, this would save a huge amount of time.

Absolutely! Typical workflow for me:

Create a multi camera source sequence with something like 16 to 32 tracks of audio. FOR SOME REASON, it makes channels 1-2 assigned to mix channels 1-2. But the rest are 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, etc. It makes the main mix channel have a total of whatever number of tracks I’m syncing up. So like 32. I have to change this to a stereo 2. But it still leaves all the other channels as 3-4, 5-6, etc. This is insanity. At the very least it should reset the mix track channel back to 1-2 when I remove all those other tracks.

So I have to go through one channel at a time and change the track output channel assignments. 3 clicks at a minimum, and no way to batch select all the channels at once. Again, insanity.

Absolutely agree this should be a matrix not a channel by channel click fest

Assigning 1 track output takes at least 3 mouse clicks. To assign 16 tracks takes at least 48 clicks. Too much clicking!!!
