Setting a Default Font for Title Text For Use in Future Projects

I understand I can create a style that I can then use in my existing project, but I want the ability to set a default font so when I make a new project and start adding text, that it will use the font I want instead of always defaulting to Minion Pro.

It will be less tedious to have a default set instead of having to change my font every time I make a project.

It would make sense to put this setting into Premiere's settings window, versus the Essential Graphics panel since this would be a global setting independent of a project.

Surprise! PR 25.4.0, just released, has it!

Edit -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Default Subtitle and Text Font.

I have not tested.

I do make a premiere template in general. So in this case, I would have to have a sequence with a text clip already created with those settings. I guess that's a suitable workaround for a problem that I wish could be solved at a deeper level.

Create a template project and start all projects with that.
