Settings… > Auto Save… > Save backup project to FrameIO

With Creative Cloud Synced Files being discontinued early in 2024, it would be great to have a replacement as easy to use as Settings... > Auto Save... > Save backup project to Creative Cloud.

If enabled, this could use a location like Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/24.0/Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save as a FrameIO watch folder that syncs automatically to FrameIO instead of the location that the Creative Cloud option uses (Creative Cloud Files/Premiere Pro/24.0/ Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save).

This would save users from having to manually put project auto saves on FrameIO.

Currently, the things of User preferences, presets, Workspaces, styles, and keyboard shortcuts are in several locations. Their "sync" has been pretty good for me to move that to a new machine.

Are they going to put all that in one folder tree we could access and copy, or are we going to have to hunt all over to get those files to move?

Curious about that.

@Jeff Drake

The Creative Cloud Files folder will no longer sync and be local only.  For example for macOS users, whatever is in /Users/<username>/Creative Cloud Files will just be on their hard drive and not also in a cloud location.

Libraries are not changing.

I believe there's a separate announcement about Sync Settings being discontinued.  If not already doing so, I'd back up Documents > Adobe if not already doing so.

Thanks @Warren Heaton10841144. It's good to know OneDrive and iCloud work. I tried to set Project Auto Save to Dropbox once and it slowed everything down. What else is going away besides Auto Save? Will Libraries and Keyboard Shortcuts still sync?

@Jeff Drake

Project Settings > Scratch Disks... Project Auto Save can be set to a OneDrive or iCloud Drive folder, but it's not as easy as a checkbox in the application preferences.

LucidLink is great.  I wish there was 500GB LucidLink plan included with our Adobe ID as well as the 500GB FrameIO plan.

I've got a full LucidLink setup with a partner in another country, so I could set my backups/saves to the "virtual" drive on my computer where they go directly without passing Go to the Amazon S3 servers in London we use.

But ... for most users and folks, this would be awesome. You get the frame.io thing anyway, right?

100X yes. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to duplicate the functionality of what is now going away but eventually gave up.
