Show/Hide clip/track controls (option with AE)

I would like to be able to toggle the controls on/off like in AE using the "Show Layer Controls" option so the frame doesn't get in the way. I use this option a lot in AE. It's especially useful when using a stroke on a shape, the control frame overlaps the shape, and you can't see the stroke thickness or color. This option would solve the problem of a lot of unnecessary manipulation. Thanks.

Its the same as while editing a clip, it has a blue bounding box.

Try using the zoom feature.

And what does this solve? I won't be able to control the shape's parameters if it's not selected.
