Stroke Effect is Practically Useless.

I love the concept of adding a stroke to an image / an alpha but the implementation is baffling. Strokes are not applied to most pngs and does not apply to opacity masks.

I am genuinely more surprised if the effect works than if it doesn’t, please expand the useability of this effect. I use primarily roughen edges to add a simple stroke around visual elements but it’s very limited by the amount of stroke I can put around things as well as it needing to round off the edges of things to add back its own outline.

All I’m asking for is for the Stroke effect to look at the image/videos’ alpha channel and apply the stroke effect to that, no different than the Drop Shadow effect, please base it on that.

Please and thank you.

Edit: Apparently drop shadows don’t apply to opacity masks as well. That’s even more unfortunate, please consider changing how they’re ordered in the render pipeline, opacity masks should apply underneath your drop shadows and such. Obviously there’s workarounds but for a program this expensive, there should not be a need for them.
