Support for recorded shot marks

The Sony A7Siii has the ability to add Shot Marks whilst recording video. Premiere Pro has no way of reading these shot marks. It would be great to have this metadata be imported with each clip? All the added Shot Marks should be visible in the Time Ruler of the Source window for quick access to these points in a long recording.

the native sony app was so broke, i made an open source one that copies your footage with the markers exposed so premiere can read them natively.

Here’s a branch with the windows port, it works ok on Windows 10 but not sure about other flavors. Please report issues in the GitHub if there are any so the mods don’t get mad at us on here.

That would certainly be a handy thing to be able to show.

Whilst recording video, you can press a button on the camera to add a shot mark to that precise point in time on the clip. I know in Avid Media Composer they appear on the Time Ruler as a Keyframe type icon. They are useful to quickly go to specific events within a long recording. For example, a football match with a shot mark added whenever there is some action or a goal.

So ... what's a "shot mark" ... a "marker" dropped in a clip perhaps? Or does it have text attached? How do you see that appear in other software?
