Swahili Transcription Feature ( Missing an Opportunity with over 100 millions speakers)

I’d like to request that Adobe add Swahili (Kiswahili) as a supported language for Speech-to-Text and automatic transcription in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Swahili is one of the most widely spoken languages in Africa, with more than 200 million speakers worldwide, including both native and second-language speakers. It is spoken extensively across East and Central Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and neighboring countries. It is also one of the official languages of the African Union.

For filmmakers, journalists, churches, nonprofits, broadcasters, content creators, and production companies working across Africa, the lack of Swahili transcription means we often have to manually transcribe interviews or rely on third-party tools before bringing captions and transcripts back into Premiere Pro.

Adding Swahili would make Premiere Pro significantly more accessible to a rapidly growing community of African creators and would make workflows such as text-based editing, transcription, captioning, subtitling, and translation much more efficient.

As Adobe continues expanding Speech-to-Text language support, I hope Swahili can be prioritized. Supporting a language spoken by hundreds of millions of people would have an enormous impact—not only for creators in East Africa, but also for organizations and filmmakers around the world telling stories from the region.

Feature request: Please add Swahili (Kiswahili) as a supported language for Premiere Pro Speech-to-Text, transcription, and Text-Based Editing.

As a filmmaker working with Swahili-speaking communities, this would immediately become one of the most valuable features in my Premiere Pro workflow.

Thank you for considering it!
