Text based editing: keeping the focus on the Source

I've been trialing the text based editing beta on an interview heavy peice that I'm working on, is there a way to keep the transcript up of the source while I make a quick edit in the timeline.

I find that I'll make a quick change on the timeline, i.e. move the playhead or delete an accedental insert, the transcript with change to the  timeline transcript and then I have to select the source again to get back to what I was doing and scroll and find my place again.

Thanks, @Kylee Pena.

Benjamin, the other option worth looking at is the Workspace. That new Text-Based Editing workspace places the Source and Program Monitors in the same shared panel. I liked the Workspace used in the original tutorial, which keeps them separate. See the image in my post here after the paragraph that starts "The text based editing" Workspace is new."

I have not played with both versions lately. I have plenty of monitor space to work with, so I still prefer keeping both monitors visible.

Thanks that was exactly what I was looking for.

In the Text panel, look for Follow Active Monitor at the bottom. If you uncheck it, the Transcript will not switch automatically. Does that solve your request?
