Todo list and notes inside Premiere Pro

Hi Adobe,

Can you please iclude an "editors notes" or todo list, inside of Premiere Pro? This would improve the worflow a lot (especially when passing over projects to new editors). Just having a dedicated window for comments/notes (that are saved with the project) seems like a no brainer and should not be too difficult to add in a future update?

Thanks in advance!

This feature would significantly improve collaboration and project management. While useful for preventing confusion during handoffs to other editors, it is equally valuable for the original editor.

I often have multiple episodes in the works simultaneously and some of those projects are frequently left untouched for weeks. Also, revising archived episodes after a year or more is a common requirement. In both scenarios, having immediate access to notes regarding unusual project configurations or specific details would save a lot of time and confusion.

The current workaround—saving a separate PDF within the project directory—is inefficient. Integrating a native note-taking feature directly into the software would streamline the workflow.

You can do this - save as a plain text file in text edit, import RTF, notes panel comes up with text

Is that what you were asking?

And it works well, too. So thanks for posting the information and link here.

I and many others do wish there was a native Notes panel. Again, so weird there isn't one.

There are workarounds, but as elegant as Premiere is in design, it seems obvious this should be an integrated feature that would be used by many serious editors.

PostNotes is available as a third party option: https://postnotes.app/

And Clip Notes: https://jiggypuff.gumroad.com/l/ClipNotes

You can actually open say Window's "Notepad" and create a note, then drag/drop that from the file manager/Explorer window into the Project panel, and it will show in the project. I think it might work with the Mac one.

But that's not a really proper in-the-app note taking option, which ... it's really, very extremely weird that PrPro does NOT have a notes panel! So very much supportive of your Idea!

Second that. Even something as simple as a Microsoft Notepad-style plaintext window and maybe checklist with tick-boxes.
