Toggle on/off the new timeline features

The FX badge & new controls for Opacity & Volume on clips in the timeline are actively hindering me. I'm sure there are people that benefit from these controls, but for simpler videos they get in the way & interrupt my flow.

Having these as default on with an option to turn them off would be great, as there are many people with absolutely no need for them that are being disrupted while they work.

I usually am happy to work through little inconviniences but I am taking time out to write this because of how much they are getting in the way & forcing me to repeat & re-look over steps in my editing.

If there is a way to turn this off already without rolling back versions I would greatly appreciate instructions!
