Transcription: Channel Select for Multiple Clips

In the latest Premiere Beta 24.2.0 you have the option for Channel Selection when Transcribing a single clip.

However, it would be useful to have the same functionality when selecting multiple clips. Currently this is not possible.

This would help my workflow using a multi-channel camera in a fast-paced documentary environment (having multiple people wearing lavaliers, but camera only focusing on one subject at a time, so the audio from other lavs would "contaminate" the transcription of the channel of the person I am focusing on). Currently I have to select and transcribe clips one by one to ensure only the channel I need is being transcribed. By allowing the same channel selection across multiple clips I could batch transcribe clips with the same channel configuration, saving a lot of time.

It would be nice to be able to right-click on an audio track and transcribe just that track.

Just ran into this issue. Be nice not to have to repeat the same action 20x times on this job.

If the batch of clips doesn’t all have the same number of channels, the dialog box could let the user select from the minimum number of channels available, while displaying the maximum number (greyed out) to indicate that a mismatch exists.
