When cache is on an external drive and I open the software before plugin in the drive, have a dialogue asking what to do before automatically setting the cache back to the internal drive.

Some times I forget to plug in the cache drive and Premiere (and AE) automatically sets the cache to the internal drive, which forces me to go through preferences to set up the external drive cache again. 

This shouldn’t happen, and there should be a dialogue asking me to plug in the drive before setting it to the internal drive automatically.
