The whip transition has no direction.

 

Adobe 24.2.1

Mac OS 14.3.1 (23D60)

 

All other transitions can are modifiable by direction

    BTW: There are hundreds (thousands?) of Whip transitions tutorials out there. Mosty using an Adjustment Layer, and pretty simple.

    That’s great when you want to whip from clip to clip.  But if you’re trying to whip text off screen, it blurs the video underneath the adjustment layer.  So, maybe not so simple.

     apply Whip straight to the Text clip.

    I believe that is true. Probably you want to put this in as an 'Idea' rather than a 'bug'.
