Why Can’t Mask Tracking Be Used for Transform/Motion?

Adobe Premiere 2026.0.0 is cool! The mask tracking is amazing. But…

we can’t apply that tracking data to Transform / Motion properties like Position, Scale, or Rotation.

Since the tracking data already exists and is reusable for masks, it feels limiting that it’s locked only to masks. Being able to drive Transform properties with the same tracking data would allow true object-following.

The tracking system is clearly powerful. Exposing it to Transform/Motion would be a huge workflow win.

Hope this gets considered 🙏

Exactly what I thought to myself today! Here's the tracking parameter:

"Clip" means that the mask - once tracked - retains the position, scale and rotation values no matter how you tweak this mask. You can move it, rotate, change the position of separate points and the tracking will remain untouched (opposite to the Frame mode). This data could easily be transferred to the Motion parameters like scale, rotation and position. The author of Autotrack for objects plugin made a parser that intercepts these values when the tracking is done to apply them to the motion parameters (in a transform effect). Now that the tracking has become even better why not add a track-to-objects feature? Adobe, please. This feature is available even in CapCut...
