Why premiere pro lacks the playhead "move time to preview time" like After Effects???
Am I missing something, this is annoying.
It would be nice to press spacebar and have playhead actually stay where it was... lol

If answer exists can someone "kindly" share answer, if no answer perhaps and actual Adobe admin can send this one upstairs to the programmers and get this feature implemented?

Thank you

If you're looking for functionality similar to After Effects' "Move Time to Preview Time" in Premiere Pro, here's a workaround:

  1. Press I before starting playback to set an In Point on the Timeline.
  2. Start playback as usual by pressing the spacebar.
  3. To stop playback and return to the In Point, press Shift + I.

While not identical to After Effects' feature, it achieves a similar result.

Yes, that the way it works. You can turn on looping and it will loop within your in and out points.

Hi, it just stays in place where ever the playhead "stops" at, does not return to where I started from which is what I am trying to figure out.

I hope that explains it, thought I was clear, lol guess not lol.

I don't understand—where does your playhead go when you press the spacebar?
