Why time remapping still can't affect both a video and an audio?

Afaik, it's still not possible to apply time remapping for the whole clip so that both video and audio parts will be changed simultaneously without making the audio out of sync. It has long been a feature request, I saw the post dated as far as 2009, asking for this to be implemented and the numerous posts after that with the same request, but it seems that all the requests of users were to no avail. So, my question is, why hasn't it still been implemented, if it's so in demand and would be really useful for users? Adobe never intends to listen to users and actually do that? And why to have this feature request thing at all, if the ideas posted there are never actually being implemented in practice?

I was plenty clear in my post. You disagree, fine. Everyone's mileage always varies. Doesn't change anything though.

I've heard or seen a few requests like yours, but the reaction has never been overly positive shall we say. Both at NAB and across several forums. There were more horrified of the idea than liking it.

Still, there are times and users for which it would be a useful tool.

"Second, never conflate a few posts to any massive number of users."

- What has to be the amount of "massive users" for Adobe to notice a certain request and take action?

"There are several million daily users of Premiere Pro and if they were all wanting a change it would probably happen quickly."

- How do you know that all of the "several million people" don't want this to happen? Because there are no several million requests of the same kind? You do realise that not all of the users who wouldn't mind a certain change to be implemented, would actually go to the community and make a post about it? Not all people are as passionate as me in this regard, lol. So, to assume that only because there are no "millions of post" regarding this question means that all of that users would be against this request is a bold claim.

"As to your specific request, yea, some people would find it handy. But realistically the vast majority would never want to use it."

- Again, on what basis do you make such assumption? You said yourself to not conflate the amount of posts with the number of people actually wanting some action to be taken. So, how can you speak for "the vast majority" of users in this regard?

"I'm always happy to upvote Idea posts though."

- See, that was the point of this very post. What's the point of just making these numerous requests and upvoting them, if we don't actually see them being addressed? Even though you say that "a lot of users request things have been changed", my experience of making and reading these requests says otherwise. I don't want to be happy with just the upvoting, sorry, I want the actual change.

I know that you'd defend Adobe, but, realistically, yea, what stops Adobe from making time remapping for both video and audio, as the current setting is not that convenient?

All the best

Unfortunately, some requests are more difficult to achieve than others, @John28850210ubid. It may be that the tech, knowledge, or manpower cycles (or all three) are just not available yet. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Cheers,
Kevin

First, a lot of users request things have been changed.

Second, never conflate a few posts to any massive number of users. There are several million daily users of Premiere Pro and if they were all wanting a change it would probably happen quickly.

As to your specific request, yea, some people would find it handy. But realistically the vast majority would never want to use it.

I'm always happy to upvote Idea posts though. Even on things I won't probably use.
