in a recent version or so, I noticed you added "crop" to the "effect Controls" tab of a clip (so we wouldnt have to add crop ourselves). however i find it strange that it doesnt have the "Edge feather" option that comes with the normal crop found in the "effects -> video effects -> transform -> crop". Leaving out the 'edge feather' parameter, was that intentional or is that a bug?

can you please add a feather effect to the new crop feather. otherwise its pointless and you have to add a secomd crop to the pre-existing crop just to feather your crop. which is redundant

Hi @rachelcenter,

I'm a support person and moderator here. I can move your post to the Ideas forum. Would you like me to do that?

Cheers,
Kevin

i got an email this morning from adobe saying "Re: [Premiere Pro] you added crop to effects control but didnt add feather" but when I click the link its someone talking about a dropshadow, not feather. It appears my post was deleted and merged with a different issue. Can you please unmerge my issue from this. My issue doesnt have to do with drop shadows it has to do with feather not being included in crop.

Hi @rachelcenter,

Thanks for the message and screenshots.

Keep in mind that the Discussions forum is a user-to-user forum with very limited interaction from the product team. I am not sure the motivations for the design myself, but maybe someone on the product team might be able to comment. @francis-crossman10980533 may be able to comment.

Thanks,
Kevin

@Kevin-Monahanso if a user writes in and reports a problem, I noticed that someone named Jamie will acknowledge its a known bug and say its been fixed in beta. At what point do they take the stuff we write in the forum and give that information to the adobe team / product team to resolve said bugs?

Its not a bug, its by design.

I can move this thread to the Ideas board.
