Fade transitions for subtitles on subtitle lines

Opening of videos to switching from VO to interviewee ending of a video before final outro page, whatever it may be, I have to manually make a text layer and copy the subtitles so I can use fades to make my videos look high end instead of the subtitles jumping in and out. at the opening and endings. 
With my work, I NEED to have subtitles for all my clients due to accessibility reasons and having to do this is a bit of a time sink that could be solved if I could just put a fade on the subtitle.
