Feature Requests

There are PLENTY of times where I will be working on a large file and need to rotate or otherwise transform a layer. When transforming the layer, I need to be up close to transform very specifically. Oftentimes, the layer I want to transform is so large that the transformation handles are off screen. I would love it if the handles were always on screen and didn't require me to zoom all the way out to make a precise transformation.

As many users of Reddit report, Adobe is not a customer friendly service. Saving money on customers has alienated many users. Instead of new features, why not keep the customers you are losing due to terrible registration, cancelation and subscription support? I was on hold for 60 minutes only to have my call dropped by Adobe customer support who had quotas to not be on the phone with customers for more than 2 minutes. Why would I want to use any Adobe features if it takes repeated calls to customer service just to register a product? Phone support only reads from scripts and does not care. Write a better feature for that!

I build brand identity systems that move between InDesign and Illustrator. I set up the same typography system in both apps, but the paragraph and character style features don’t match, so I individually build all the styles in each adobe program (though I don’t get the same features and behaviors).Features in InDesign that are missing from Illustrator’s styles:Based On: I can’t build a parent/child style hierarchy, so changing a base font means editing every style one by one. Next Style: I can’t chain styles (for example, Headline → Subhead → Body). Nested Styles and GREP Styles: I can’t apply character styles automatically. Style groups (folders): large style sets become an unorganized list. Paragraph rules, borders, and shading. Space Between Paragraphs Using Same Style: I can’t set different spacing between paragraphs that share a style (for example, list items or bullets) than between paragraphs of different styles. macOS has an OS-level mechanism that uses an app’s bundle ID to determine which app is launched by default. One example of such an ID is com.adobe.Photoshop.By default, the OS uses the latest installed version as the default app. In Finder’s Get Info panel, users can also select an app at a different installation path to open their files, even if it shares the same bundle ID.However, this Finder setting often reverts to the latest version when a new version is installed.This causes a problem with the standard release and beta versions of Photoshop.Both use the same bundle ID, com.adobe.photoshop. As a result, even if I use the standard release for my work, installing the beta can cause files opened in Finder to launch the beta instead.Illustrator uses different bundle IDs for its standard release and beta versions, so it does not have this problem.Please do the same for Photoshop Beta by giving the standard release and beta versions different bundle IDs.

I think this idea is pretty obvious and speaks for itself and will be seconded by many. Many who are bloody sick tired of your subscriptions and do not need or want and changes to the GUI 

I currently use Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom.To be honest, I have no choice but to subscribe to the entire Creative Cloud All Apps plan, even though I barely use any of the other applications.I really hope Adobe will introduce a flexible subscription option that allows users to choose only the applications they actually need.Especially in this AI-driven era, such a plan would help creative professionals like me significantly reduce our software subscription costs.

Can control points (direction handles) be made 'magnetic '–when the cursor is close to it, then it automatically snaps to the closest handle? I believe it would be hugely useful and make using the path tool much faster.

HiIt would be interesting, and also financially fair for users, to be able to individually choose the Adobe plan that best suits their needs, with just one app.I know many people who only use Lightroom from the "photography" package, and others who only use Photoshop.Being able to choose just one Adobe software program, with lower prices, could be a good idea to avoid migrating, for example, to Crafting Apps.As a photographer, I use both, but as a Baby Boomer, I have a lot of difficulty using Photoshop, while I use Lightroom extensively.Thanks and regards

Expand the range of color labels in Bridge and now ACR to match the color choices available in colorizing image layers in Photoshop in the Layers panel.And add a tool bar in Bridge (at the bottom) and in the new grid view in ACR for assigning a color label and numerical rating to an image or set of images in one click. Such a toolbar can be added to Bridge with the third party Script Utility Pack. 

PS Workspaces should be updated to match pretty much all the other Workspace options in the other Adobe apps (example screenshot of Bridge options). Why do I still have to save a modified workspace as a ‘New’ workspace in PS? Two mouse clicks should allow me to save a modified workspace… not several and having to type out the name. Fix this please.

Typically when editing a photo, I have an idea of how I want it to look. I know how I want to edit it, I know what features I want to emphasize, and I know how I want it to come out. But oftentimes I find myself either writing it down or just plain forgetting, and I think a Notes feature in Lightroom would be fantastic to help. 

How to generate accurate sound effects? Prompt descriptions with words DO NOT generate the same sound effects (or melodies) as if we describe them to the AI with the sounds of our lips.

Baking Apply Subdivision *as High Poly In the Baking menu, Add a check box along side “Use Low poly mesh as high poly mesh” call “Subdivide Low poly mesh” with a second option for Subdiv Level.When Checked, the baker will subdivide (Open SubDiv) the low poly mesh to a level chosen by the user. That temporary internally generated subdivided mesh will be treated as the high poly mesh. Why include this feature?Because it means I wont need to do another step in exporting a throwaway subdivided mesh. Targeted at the VFX side when working on subdiv meshes. My studio and co-workers would be eternally grateful.  

When I create a new collection inside a collection set in Lightroom Classic, and have it sync to the cloud, it comes in at the root. I then have to manually move it over to be under the collection set (Folder).It would make more sense to have it sync to that folder automatically. My intention is to create hundreds of collections, one for every species of animal I have photographed for the purpose of adding them to my Adobe Portfolio pages.   Therefore it is fairly time consuming to move them all one at a time.Thanks!

Sometimes if i start a project, it ends up being smaller than the size of the project, especially if it has a transparent background. I wish there was a resize page to shape option so I do not have to save as a JPEG then open up in another file to crop. I have provided an example of a project that ended up smaller than intended, and the resize is just a guessing numbers game.

HiPlease add Mini 5 Pro DNG files to use Adobe Landscape, Adobe Standard, Adobe Vivid color profiles on imported DNG files. These Adobe presets are supported with Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro, but have been overlooked for the latest Mini 5 Pro. Thanks Nick Beer 

While I am drawn to many aspects of LrCC on my laptop and iPad, including the the UI design aspects of font and spacing (and Generative Upscale), LrC is more powerful and feature-rich, so I use it when I need things like plugins, virtual copies, the Export module, and Print module. While I can access cloud files through the Collections panel, it is a bit of a headache with its long list of small, difficult-to-read album names. At least they are alpha-numeric, but without the folder names, it becomes a nightmare.Lr Mobile for iPad has a great feature to allow the user to switch between “Cloud” and “Device”. Recommendation: Design the left panel of Lr Classic to allow users to easily switch between Local files (as we currently have in LrC) and Cloud files as they are structured in LrCC.Even Import can be designed with a simple question: Do you want to import files Locally or to the Cloud? The first option is business as usual with LrC; the second opens a LrCC style folder/album structure
