Can't able to get integration library integrated with flex3 builder. Hi There, I'm working with the Adobe Navigation Library. I'm trying to do something with a PM where instead of defining the [Landmark] tag on the class itself, I want this to be assigned dynamically for that type (or for an id) from the context, so that a particular PM class could be reused in different navigation schemes in multiple apps. In the Navigation library, there's a LandmarkDecorator (extends ObjectDefinitionDecorator) which is looking at the ClassInfo ONLY, and the [Landmark] decoration from the mxml tag doesn't appear in ClassInfo of course. At that point, for other tags which work in conjunction with [Landmark], it throws an error because it cannot see a [Landmark] tag. What I want to do is: 1. Attach the [Landmark] (and other) Navigation tags to objects at runtime using tags in mxml or xml 2. Possible modify the AbstractNavigationDecorator to see the dynamically-added tag(s) so that the Landmark prerequisite can be satisfiedAlso, here's what the mxml looks like: <Objec

I'm going to be making use of the TLF for a large-scale project (18 months or more) and need to use the new advanced layout features (images floats in particular at this point) - What is the best way to keep up with all changes and updates to the TLF?Is it included in the Flex 4.x nightly builds or will I need to keep it updated separately?Sorry, haven't ever had to stay right on top of any cutting-edge projects before, would appreciate a little guidance if possible : )Thanks

Constructor must be as lightweight as possible. No control statement allowed, whereas a cyclomatic complexe of 2 has been detected. The Just-In-Time compiler does not compile constructors. Hi all,I'm really struggling getting a testing structure in place. I need to test a sub-swf which gets loaded into a range of main applications and its methods are then invoked. Therefore, I want to setup a test initially to load in that sub-swf (before calling its functions).However, despite Firebug revealing that the swf in question was called ok (200 return) the timeout function always eventually is invoked.Please can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong as I've been struggling with this for over a week. My problem:I add a paragraph with inline images set with a -50% baselineShift so that they appear to be centered in line.  It looks fine, only the spacing appropriate to the shift appears between the two lines when the text covers two lines within the container (each line ended up with one image).This text is in it's own container.Then, I add another paragraph to the textflow, set such that it is appearing in it's own container with it's own controller.  I am doing this because I need to be able to track some y values for formatting in the future (inserting images next to specific text containers).When I add this second paragraph and container, two HUGE spaces appears, one before the first line of and one between the two lines of text in the paragraph BEFORE the newly added paragraph.How is a subsequent paragraph affecting the spacing between lines it does not share a container with... the only thing they share is a TextFlow.Note: in the XML below, a span with the same baseli

Has anyone created a fully function TLF-based editor that imports / exports xHTML with tables and allows users to perform realtime editing? It can be either open or commercial, but needs to operate in Flex.  BTW, I noticed the editor for posting threads for TLF appears to be JS  🙂

Hi to all!I'm trying to develop a FTP client in Flex/Air with socket (...whatelse !?!?)I can connect to the FTP server and authenticate. Then I switch to passive mode sending the "PASV" ftp command.In response i receive the data port on which I will (...well...actually....on which I would like to....) transfer the files. I'm using a TextFlow with added controllers by using textFlow.flowComposer.addController(controller). I've got an application which, as it gets results back from a query, adds textarea's to a vgroup and displays them.The vgroup vg exists at compilation, the summary textarea's do not.I'm trying to add some kind of highlighting for the keywords that were used, and I'm having some trouble.  I've boiled it down to this:var summary:TextArea = new TextArea();summary.text = "something"var tlf:TextLayoutFormat = new TextLayoutFormat();tlf.fontSize = 18;tlf.fontWeight = "bold";tlf.color = 0xFF0000;summary.setFormatOfRange(tlf, 0, 2);vg.addElement(summary);For some reason, even this won't work in the context of what I'm trying to do.  (this is a simplified version, I can get the code for the whole function this is running in if it'll help anyone).Any ideas?  Is what I'm trying to do even possible?

When attempting to run FlexPMD in Ant 1.7.0, we receive this error message:Couldn't find that class Can't find resource com/adobe/ac/pmd/rulesets/architecture.xml. Make sure the resource is a valid file or URL or is on the CLASSPATHHowever, switching to Ant 1.8 resolves the problem completely.Does FlexPMD support Ant 1.7.0?Anybody know why we might be getting this message?  Thanks

Dears, i use TLF in flash files, it make the file has a big size.for example classic Text size is 2-3 k and TLF size is 56 k,sure without the external tfl file which is exported during the publish.So, How can i reduce and control this difference in size ?Thank you in advance....
