Is there a way to change the color of the number itself every time I insert a new footnote (Insert>Footnote) in FrameMaker?

FramMaker 10 stürzt ab, sobald ich eine Datei öffne. Seit ein paar Tagen wurde FM schon immer langsamer. In der Windows-Ereignisanzeige wird ein fehlerhaftes Modul MSVCR90.dll angezeigt, was vermutlich ein typischer Windows-Holzweg ist. Fällt jemandem etwas dazu ein?

Hi,Does anyone know how to enlarge the "Show/Hide Conditional Text" window? Sometimes my condition tags are too long and run into the border so that I cannot see the full names. Is it possible (and if yes, how) to make the window bigger? Any information would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Lacey

Hello,as a translation company, we often do some DTP on translated Framemaker documents. The documents often contain many tables, and the translated text doesn't always fit into the cells, giving overflow. I'm looking into creating a script that finds the overflow in the table cells.I've already tested some scripts, and have now run into an issue I can't seem to work out. I started out by detecting the overflowed cells in a selected table, which works fine, and gives an alerts when overflow is detected. Hi,In our book file, we have long images which are split across pages.( Image is imported by copy)While saving it as pdf, only the first image is shown, the rest of the images are not available in pdf.It works in Framemaker 7.2 version.

Is there some way to use character formatting in an EDD to underline the title text for elements such as Para0, Subpara1, etc. but not underline the autonumber characters that appear at the left end of each title?

I use FM10 and FM12. Both have this problem.I know it is normal for a table having a left indent equal to the tab stop of the list if the table is within a list.But could anyone explain why a table after a list (even there are other contents between the table and the list) is still given an indent?

  When converting my FrameMaker 11 book into a PDF, the page numbers in certain chapters will not print on the  PDF. The page numbers are visible in the all of the chapters of Framemaker files/book.  Does anyone know why this is occurring? How do we fix this?

I'm testing XML/XHTML import in FrameMaker 2015.If I use xml:space in my document, then FM2015 recognizes this and uses the correct spacing (a big improvement over the old version I've been using!).But if I set my element definitions to automatically add an xml:space attribute, the white space is not preserved. I can tell that my definitions are getting applied because it applies the correct styles, and when I look in Structure View, I can see that xml:space is indeed set to preserve... but the spaces aren't correct.Is there any way I can get FrameMaker to automatically recognize certain types of elements and preserve the whitespace, or do I need to explicitly set xml:preserve every single time I want to preserve spacing?

I watched the Framemaker tutorial "Inserting Special Characters" but, when I clicked on the symbol I wanted to insert, it inserted a Latin symbol instead.  Help!

The content is somehow now on a different layer that I can't get to.Any ideas about how to get my content back?

When closing my FrameMaker files individually from the book file, I got messages saying that certain fonts were not in a file and asking if I wanted to add them. This seemed unusual, so I clicked "No." After clicking several of these, I had a crash. When I reopened the book file, I discovered that one of the chapters (c09.fm) was represented by a question mark (?) in the file icon in the book file. When I tried to open  the file from the book, I got an error message saying that the file does not exist. When I checked the file in my Explorer directory, it had been renamed to "c09.fm.4EB." What happened, and what should I do about it? I would like to keep and continue using the renamed file because it contains changes that I don't want to hunt down and do again.

I have created a FM-book (V12) consisting of a number of files. One of these is a Tab directory for the binder the documents shall be placed in. The tabs are created in a table in the tab directory file. I also want a PDF-solution for the documents and in this I wish the tabs i the tab-directory to be active links to the differnet documents. So I created hypertext links between the Tab-directory and the first page of each document in FrameMaker. Works beatiful.However, when I create a PDF of the book the tabdirectory table is whitened out. The links are there and works but the tab-texts are hidden. Note that there is other text in the tab directory document that is not blanked.Any ideas why?I even removed the links and regernerated the PDF but the tabs remain hidden.

I'm trying to use FrameMaker to Save as PDF. I receive the error:  Offending Command: ct_T3HdrDict.  Any ideas on what this means? Do I have a control character somewhere that I cannot see? If so, how can I locate it?

Hello,I have Windows 7 Ultimate.The other day I tried to download a trial version of FM, but noticed it wasn't succeeding. Later, I received an email from Adobe telling me my trial had started, yet the trial is nowhere to be found on my computer! I did have FM 11, so when I try to put it up I get a message that my serial number is no longer valid and I need to enter a valid number. This must be because years ago, I did have FM...is there any way I can still download a trial version? And, why did I get that email...I feel like time is running on something I can't see.Thank you,Susan

I created a Creative Cloud install package for FrameMaker 2015 v13 and Adobe Distiller wasn't an option to include in the package creation and doesn't show after install.Any insight would be helpful.
