Adobe Fresco was working fine but is now crashing every time I try to open a file

Every time I launch Fresco the preferences are reset to default, and it's very annoying. It will change from Dark Mode to Light Mode, finger input goes from Gesture Only to Draw with Brush, etc. It's very very annoying having to re-setup my preferences every time I launch the app. The app always closes properly, so it should be saved. I am using the latest update for both Windows and Fresco, reinstalling doesn't work, and restarting my device also doesn't help.  I'm using a Surface Pro 7 i7 with 16gigs or ram.

Hello! I just bought a new ipad and I've done lots of work on Adobe fresco on my old one. I did a transfer setup so that all my apps and files got into my new one. Now, I'm a bit scared to reinstall my old ipad to sell it, that all my fresco files will disappear because its on the old ipad they were created. I've tried researching if I can back them up somehow but can't find any info about this. I know it says its in the cloud but I feel like I anyway would like to back them up on a seperate place just in case. How do I go about?Thanks,Sofia

Hi I haven't opened Fresco for a few weeks. I have a paid subscription (most recent payment taken from my account on 4.8.21) which should entitle me to 100GB of storage, but I am unable to open the small number of files (approx 10-12 at present) I have stored in the cloud as I keep getting a window asking me to create more storage space, even though I've hardly used any. Very frustrating, as I'm paying for a product I presently cannot use. Any advice would be gratefully received. Regards B

I downloaded the 'kyles brushes' pack but having to a) wait for them to load to be able to select them and b) scrolling through the near 450 brushes every time is rather tedious. is there a way to group brushes together? if not I think the brushes should be available to download in separate packs. Eg. group all the ones labeled 'kyles drawing box....' or 'kyles ultimate oils...' together. If this is already a thing pls direct me to it 👍

Hi, old question, but is Fresco available yet for desktop Mac or PC? 

I am having problems with my custom shapes I've created in Illustrator, saved to my CC libraies, and showing up in Fresco. I DO NOT want to use capture for these shapes. I spent a lot of time creating them in AI and would like to have access to sketch with them on the go with my iPad Pro. Only 1 out of 12 shapes is showing up and the one that does show up was not created in capture. I've tried searching for this problem and can't find anything on the topic. Please help. 

I have recently been having a very troubling issue with some brushes in Fresco, there is no rhyme or reason to it that I can identify, aside from it seeming to be confined to pixel brushes.  Some brushes simply dont work, at all, when I'm using my stylus (they do work when I use the mouse).I'm using a Pro Pen 2 on a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24, all Wacom drivers are up to date, as is Windows, as is Fresco (letest version). 

I'm having this weird bug that happens the split second i lift my wacom pen ending the stroke it gets really annoying because sometimes this "failed stroke" gets larger and i end up having to go back.This only happens on Fresco, Does not happen in Photoshop or any other drawing software in Windows. 

My blend tool rarely ever works. when it does its wonderful but most of the time it doesn't and just. causes the fresco application to close

Hi AllIm in the process of learning fresco. I wanted the freedom of drawing on the ipad whilst on the go, then transfering drawings to illustrator afterwards. This works ok, the issue I have is once the drawing is opened in illustator it turns all stokes into paths / shapes so I have no control with fine tuning the lines or changing stoke weight. Is there a way of turning shapes back into strokes? Cheers

I've been using Fresco since it first launched on Windows. I use my Surface Pro 7, but lately the experience has been awful the past few months and it feels like Adobe has been neglecting the Windows version. The smudge brush crashes the app 50% of the time. I feel like I can't use it anymore because I'm worried about it crashing. When using Fresco, sometimes the screen with flash black. Now, this could be a Windows thing, but it only ever happens when using Fresco.Recently, it stopped saving my preferences. That means that everytime I launch the app, even if it closed properly, it changes back to the light theme, the finger settings go back to draw with touch, the alignment grids turn back on. This is incredibly annoying, it's not fun having to sift through the settings menu everytime I feel like drawing. Not to mention, that when it crashes from the smudge brushes, I will end up having to do this multiple times a session. And that's not to mention the massive amount of features

For the past many years i have been using pencil and small chisel brushes quite extensively. As i am an illustrator i depend heavily on these brushes. After the past two updates both of these brushes do not work as they used to. More precisely, they are not precise, and this mostly applies to the pencil brush, the brush i use the most. All of a sudden while i am drawing the lines get distorted, pressure of the apple pencil is also distorted and doesn't distinguish thin from thick lines. It draws thin lines and then it starts drawing thick lines all of a sudden. It doesn't matter which size of the pencil i use its always the same. The lines are irregular and too big. I tried fiddling with settings, line pressure, etc. but nothing can fix the problem.  From time to time the pencil stats acting normally but this is rarely happening, most of the times there are problems. I illustrate for work and normally have no problem with fresco apart from the occasional crash, but today I started a new drawing after being on holiday and found that nothing was drawing. The pen tracking is fine but nothing is happening when I try to draw in vector or pixel. I installed the update hoping it would fix things but it did not, it worked for a minute but it was giving a velocity taper line when I was on normal rounded brush. I restarted hoping that would fix it but now I'm getting nothing at all again when I try to draw. I work with and Intel Nuc and XP-PEN Pro all less than a year old. 

So I've been trying to update Adobe Fresco on my Surface Pro 7. At first im told that it wasn't compatible for my device, so I decided to download graphics drivers to see if that was the problem. Ive updated everything but I'm being told I dont have enough RAM. I've also deleted unnecessary programs alongside buying a hard drive, but my problem didn't go away. I am an Illustrator, working in Fresco and sending to Illustrator.  and I often draw shadowing using vector layers with the transparency turned down. Recently, when I upload my files to Ai, and then Copy my artwork into a new file (my print-ready Template file) all of my transparency line work turns to 100% opacity, black shape. Anyone know how to keep the transparency settings in your art layers when copy-pasting to a new Ai canvas? 

after installing Fresco from CC panel, it doesnt add it to my programs and features in windows 10, even after restarting my computer, it still the same.it said it installed in CC, when click on open, then it open the window and close right after it said loading your documents installing the latest update didnt fix ituninstalling and reinstalling didnt fix it i still canot use Fresco i was able to insatll other applications from CC normally and was able to run and use them any suggestions 

I've got Fresco version 2.7.0 on my Microsoft Pro. There is no type tool in my menu, it would be really nice if it was! I wonder if it is still not available or should i install it myself in some way?Is 2.7.0 the latest windows version and will Fresco automaticly update when the typetool is available?   

When I pair Pencil 2 with my iPad Air 4, and install Fresco, and try to draw with the pencil, it doesnt work. Specifically, I get one stamp of the brush, and the rest of the stroke is ignored. Suspecting the pencil, I tried the same pencil with Fresco on my iPad Pro 4, and it works perfectly. Susepecting the iPad Air 4, I tried the same pencil with a number of other drawing apps, and it works perfectly. I have done all the obivious shot gun solutions: restarted the iPad, unpaired and repaired the pencil, removed and reinstalled Fresco. No dice.

Does anyone know if there is a way to engage the secondary state of the touch when using Fresco on desktop? A number of people have asked this but the answer is always use the ` key, but this only engages the primary touch state. I'm just interested in being able to trim vector lines, so if there is another way to do this on desktop that would great as well. There is nothing listed on the link below how to do it. https://helpx.adobe.com/fresco/using/keyboard-shortcuts.html and in the unlikely event that someone from adobe reads this, shift-` seems like an absolutely fantastic and intuitive solution.

There have been many demands to add the Magic wand tool to Fresco going as far back as 2019. The app could really use this feature, mostly because it is a time-saving bonus when trying to select multiple objects. Please add. I can illustrate my works without.

So, this has happened to me twice now this week- I have a few illustrations on the go and went into one today to finish it off. After a few hours it was finally complete- I exported a quick PNG version to share with a client and even renamed the file on Fresco so I knew it was completed.  Go back in a few hours later to print it and its back to the unfinished version and when I look in version history it is as if I haven't worked on it since Friday! I have reported the bug both times it has happened- I have also checked that everthing is up to date (of course it is). This is extremely frustrating and upsetting - has anyone experienced this? Is there ANY way I can retrieve what I have done?
