Lightroom Classic

Lately Instagram is flagging my photos as requiring an AI label.  I never use generative AI, and almost exclusively use linear gradients and brushes...basically the same tools that have been available since forever.  I have started to use the “Sky” tool, and the “Object” tool, since this has helped better define mask borders, but I guess this is causing the AI flag problem?  It would be useful to have a global preference to disable AI-based tools, and perhaps that information could even be included in the metadata.

I spend hours and hours keywording, creating a very large index from every Vehicle Museum, Car Show, Car Race meeting etc. To save a lot of duplicated processing the first thing I do is to create a keyword of the number plate - vehicle tags. This immediately stops me creating a keyword all the keywords for vehicle already in the database.This vehicle is one that I have seen more than once.In both 2009 and 2025. Two different Show keywords on the one photo.If Lightroom simply gave me the option to use the keyword that I am trying to create as I already have the plate keyword in the database it would save me a lot of time getting through the plethora of keywords to find the existing keyworded photo. I simply add the new venue keyword to the older photo and then delete the new photo - saving processing, storage etc etc.It takes a lot of time to find the existing keyword, to then tag the new photo with it, open both photos to check if it is the same vehicle, then add the new show/event Key

In summer there is a lot of small insects in the air, which results in lots of small black dots in the sky.Unfortunately Dust removal cannot detect it as a dust, so I have to remove them one by one with Remove tool, which is not comfortable.It would be nice to improve this.Or is there any trick I'm missing?

Modern mobile devices run on ARM processors, and that is the future. Look at Apple. Please develop native ARM versions of Lightroom Classic and all other Adobe products. Even with the current version of LrC, it is impossible to take advantage of ARM-based AI for noise reduction! Noise reduction takes hours, despite using a fast Snapdragon processor. That is simply unacceptable.After all, you rewrote the software for Apple in record time—why not for Windows? Otherwise, I will be forced to switch to Luminar Neo, and I could replace Photoshop with Affinity; both run natively on ARM. Adobe is still relying on the outdated x86 architecture. Lightroom Classic 11.2 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7.   In the batch file renaming feature accessed through the hamburger icon to the right of the File Name field in the Library module, I often need to search and replace particular text. I don't see a way to, for example, replace "Jan1969-" with "1969-01-", which I wanted to do this week because I had improved my file naming system and wanted to update my old files' names.   Even better would be to support entering an arbitrarily long list of replacements to make in one pass, with a "+" or "Add" button to add more "From" and "To", or "Old" and "New", boxes.  For example,   Old: Jan1969 New: 1969-01 Old: Feb1969 New: 1969-02 Old: Mar1969 New: 1969-03   A further enhancement to that feature would be to give either the whole list or each entry a pulldown like in the Library module Text Filter, specifying Contains, Starts With, or Ends With.   I could actually benefit from a full-blown regular expression matcher,

Current version of Lightroom lacks proper emulation tools to mimic analogue photography.I would love to see these tools in a dedicated Film Emulation panel;-Film Stock presets like for example; Kodak Portra 400 and CineStill 800T-Bloom and Glow-Accurate Halation-Simulated film grain -Lab ScansThere are different plugins that can achieve those things but it would be great to have these features build-in to save time and cost.A good example of this is Davinci Resolve and its “film look creator” tool where you have all of these options in a single tab.I find myself editing in Lightroom and then sending the finished photos to Davinci just to add bloom and halation and then back again to Lightroom to export them with my usual workflow settings.Having all of that directly in Lightroom would be amazing and many of us woud really appreciate it!Thanks.  

I’m not sure how feasible this would be, given the differences between Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, but I would love to see features such as Generative Enhance and Generative Extend, that are already within Lightroom added to Lightroom Classic. Personally it is always exciting to see announcements about new AI powered tools that can enhance an image natively or generatively extend its boundaries, like most recently when I saw on my instagram from Lightroom a new feature had been pushed for border extension, I was so happy to see that, but that excitement quickly turns into disappointment when I realize those features are available only in Lightroom and not in Lightroom Classic.Could Adobe please bring these capabilities to Lightroom Classic as well?I have always described Lightroom as an excellent option for quick, on the go editing, beginner friendly editing, while Lightroom Classic provides greater control, functionality, and precision needed for a more advanced editing workflow.

Sliders for the new mask feather/edge seem quite sensitive.  Keyboard shortcuts would allow nudging the sliders a step at a time?

The Book Module currently only supports “Standard Layflat” which is Blurbs “Mohawk proPhoto Pearl”.   I want to do a book with “Mohawk Superfine Eggshell” which is a matte paper.   I know I could order a book with the Pearl and then reorder it with matte but that’s several hundred dollars I don’t need to spend.  The workaround isn’t the easiest way either.   Could you just add the paper type to the list? 

I'm a relatively newbie to Lightroom and I think it is fantastic. It does occur to me that pros who have been using Lightroom for a while understand all the issues about selections, settings, copying, pasting, synchronising etc etc. Like many things in life the people who do things almost as second nature forget what it was like to be a beginner. The one thing that has surprised me about lightroom is that I cannot find a way of indicating "I am happy with this - I just want to lock it to ensure I don't damage, amend or delete it" through my own incompetence.

I would really like to see a feature where you are able to lock folders. This would prevent accidental changes to the folders where images are stored and keep them the safe while editing, therefore making the unlocking of the folder purposeful for folder changes that are intent based. This would obviously rely on users turning the function on. However it would be a step forward in protecting source files.

HiI do a lot of video editing and really like using the RGB Parade and Vectorscope. Histogram for photos aren't as detailed. Is there any plugins or features that have similar functions like RGB Parade and Vectorscope for use inside Lightroom or maybe as an external editor? Best regards Simon

Feather Masks - ability to universally feather a mask selection in LR like photoshop. With a feather slider. The AI selctions are great but often need to be feathered this would speed up workflow greatly. 

I’d love to see Adobe introduce AI-powered keywording in Lightroom classic With several AI features already added, AI keyword generation feels like the next logical step.I have a relatively small catalog of around 8,000 images, yet keywording is still by far the most time-consuming part of my workflow. I haven’t found another Lightroom task that takes as much time and effort.An AI feature that could automatically suggest accurate keywords would make organising photo libraries much more efficient, allowing photographers to spend less time managing catalogs and more time editing, sharing, and enjoying their images.

In Lightroom Masking add the Parametric Tone Curve to the already existing Point Tone Curve. This already exists in the Main the Tone Curve Panel. The Parametric Tone Curve is often more intuitive and effective than the point curve.

Collection synching / Lightroom Mobile is a great addition to Lightroom 5.4. Please extend this functionality to Smart Collections as well.

It would be great to be able to filter for sync'ed images. Two reasons: - I often want to make sure I have sync'ed the best image(s) and I would like to compare them to non-sync'ed similar iamges - I want to go through my folders and delete images that I no longer need, or should not have kept in the first place, and I want to make sure I do not delete sync'ed images.   There is a cumbersom way to do it but to be somewhat efficient it needs an available unused label. Being able to auto export photos after denoising or syncing edits would be great. A lot of the times I leave my laptop unattended for a while with the photos denoising, being able to automatically export them to a folder would be really handy, then I can get them to my clients as fast as possible. (I do sports photography, most of the time inside, hence the deniosing)

OK, I'm not sure I can describe this good. But sometimes LR is slow when you start a few tasks, like exporting images to jpgs, web galleries, etc, that you wish that those could be done at a time when you're not by your computer (say at a coffee break, lunch or even leaving the office for the day). It would be cool with a feature where you could queue several tasks, that can be done when the computer is having "down time" or when you tell it to "start processing task queue" or similar. Or a possibility for third party vendors to script something like this (or even yourself if you're fairly good as scripting).

Lightroom Classic 12.4 / Camera Raw 15.4Just imported a dozen Fuji X-T5 raw files. White balance and tint value is slightly different for all of them as they were shot in 'Auto WB' on the camera.   Wanted to adjust the tint value on all images but retain their existing WB value.   Selected all, made sure Auto Sync was on in Develop mode, and moved the Tint value to 5.    Expected result: all selected images should now have a Tint value of 5, while retaining their original WB value.   Actual result: the WB and the Tint value for the main image was applied to all selected images, even though I had not adjusted WB at all.Did an Undo, went through all images to confirm they all had different WB and tint values. Selected a different image. Did a Select All, Auto Sync on. This time I set the WB value for my main image.   Expected result: all selected images should now have the same WB as the main image, but their Tint values should be unchanged.   Actual re

When Use Graphics Processor is enabled, the audio on my PC either freezes or crackles, especially during more demanding tasks such as masking and AI-powered masking.I assume Lightroom Classic is utilizing the GPU at or near its maximum capacity in these situations.It would be helpful to have an option to limit or control GPU utilization, similar to the hardware resource controls available in Photoshop. This could help users balance performance with overall system responsiveness and avoid issues such as audio stuttering.GPU acceleration provides a very noticeable improvement in Lightroom Classic's speed and responsiveness, so I prefer to keep it enabled.
