Customizable keyboard shortcuts in Lightroom would be great. I just find it so confusing that crop and brush tools and things like that have such odd keyboard shortcuts in Lightroom. I understand that changing that all now would be awful for many existing users, but being able to override them like I can in Photoshop would be helpful. Doesn't anyone else out there find they use to wrong keyboard shortcuts in the wrong program?
Adobe Lightroom remains the gold standard for RAW image processing, catalog management, and professional color grading. However, the modern photography industry is rapidly evolving toward AI-assisted, high-volume, and automation-first workflows — especially in portrait, wedding, beauty, fashion, and studio photography. While Lightroom has introduced selective AI tools over recent years, the platform still lacks a deeply integrated, end-to-end intelligent portrait workflow system that dramatically reduces manual editing time while maintaining professional quality. This feature request proposes a next-generation evolution of Lightroom into a fully AI-native photography production environment. The Current Workflow ProblemLightroom is exceptional at:RAW development Color grading Asset organization Metadata management Preset ecosystems Adobe Cloud synchronization Integration with PhotoshopHowever, modern portrait workflows still require excessive manual intervention for:Retouching Facial clean
I am on the go a lot, and not being able to pause and close lightroom to put my laptop in my bag is really unfortunate. I use external hard drives for lightroom, so I can’t eject them until it’s done exporting or denoising. Being able to pause it and close lightroom to finish later when I have enough time would be really nice. Having to put my laptop in my bag with the hard drive still attached is really annoying.
When switching Camera profiles in LrC and “As Shot” white balance is selected, LrC will change the Temperature/Tint so the visual result is the same before and after the profile switch. Yet, when the whitepoint is set to “Custom” the numbers are not changed so the visual result is different. Since this is hard to explain here is a small screencast: notice that Temperature changes when white blaance is “As Shot” (“Wie Aufnahme”, sorry for German), but does not change when it is set to “Custom” (“Benutzerdefiniert” in German). The user effect is the follows:With as shot white balance: the image is visually kept identical (apart from the different camera profile), with the same temperature and tint even though numbers change With custom white balance: the image visually changes, the perceived temperature and tint is different in addition to the different camera profile When using the white balance picker tool a neutral gray patch that was selected with one profile is not neutral gray wit

Hello, TLDR: I wish the Ai was more clever when syncing subject masks, syncing faces rather than 'Person numbers' While editing I often create Ai subject masks for one or two people in an image. Let's say it's the bride & groom walking down the aisle for example... I've then got a big sequence of these images that I would like to sync. But when you sync, the Ai more often than not decides to choose 2 random people sitting off to the side, instead of the first image where I've selected the bride & groom. Looking into it deeper, it seems it always syncs the 'person number(s)' rather than the actual intended target. So after correcting the mask to the correct people - some shots of the bride & groom could be labelled differently... 'Person 2 & Person 3' while the next shot could be 'Person 3 & Person 4' or if it's getting it really wrong 'Person 5 & Person 6' ....even though the shot is only marginally different from the first
The smart-collection criterion Needs AI Update doesn’t identify photos with masking errors. To reproduce in LR 15.4.1 / Mac OS 25.4.1: 1. Download and open the attached catalog “needs-ai-update-bug.zip”. 2. Observe that the photo Error.jpg has a Sky mask flagged as an error, “Couldn’t find a sky to select”: 3. In Library, observe that the Library Filter column Needs AI Update doesn’t include an “Error” item identifying that photo, and that the smart-collection “_Needs AI Update = Error” doesn’t include that photo:
The Yellow colour label is very green. When seen on its own you could easily mistake it for Green. It’s only when you see Yellow and Green next to each other you can distinguish them. It should be changed to a more obvious Yellow.
In Lightroom 5.4, if I select a collapsed stack of photos in the Library module, I would like the option to automatically apply changes (e.g. metadata) to all photos within that stack. Background: as a first-time Lightroom user, I used the auto-stacking feature so that my 3-shot bracketed (i.e. HDR) photos would be stacked together. With the stacks collapsed, I went through my library, selected multiple stacks, and typed in a GPS location to be applied to those photos. I assumed that by selecting the (collapsed) stacks, the metadata would be applied to all photos within those stacks. However, the GPS locations were only applied to the first photo within each stack. After the fact, I learned that stacks must be expanded in order to select all photos within the stack. From my perspective, this defeats the purpose of creating stacks - if one must expand the stack to apply changes to all photos within the stack, there doesn't seem to be much point of creating stacks in the first place.
It would be very useful for both Panorama and HDR stitching systems to add a colour to the stack created by the process. My photosets contain a lot of panoramas and my workflow is as follows:Auto group the photos into stacks Inspect each stack and add a “Red” to the ones that need to be merged. Batch process the panoramas and try and remember to set the colour to “Yellow” Inspect the “Yellow” stacks and check the panoramas success. Mark those that pass to Green.I often forget to set them to “Yellow” when I queue the stitching process. It would be very use full for the stitcher to perform this task for me.
When Lightroom is unable to apply content credentials, a button to auto retry exporting the photos until it works would be great. Having to keep clicking export until it works is frustrating, that would make it a lot easier. For example, when the popup “couldn’t apply content credentials” appears, I could press a button next to the show in library that says “Retry”.
When browsing the library, there is a gray frame around every picture. This takes up screen real estate and adds nothing to the functionality of the application. It would be great to have the option to see pictures without this unnecessary frame.
Please add an option to the Grid view in LRC where it's just the image. No other information such as extended or compact. Just image thumbnail. You have this in LR Desktop and it massively helps with culling and selecting. I have always found the current view so hard to focus in on. Like I said, it's in LR Desktop.
I tried a trial subscription in the hopes this would speed my workflow. Currently I edit real estate photos, then export, then edit in Nano Banana to replace skies or create twilight images. Then I download, rename and export the finished file.I was happy to see that I can now transfer the file to Firefly, and assumed I could return the edited file to LR Classic, as in PS. But, no I still have to download, rename and export. So, the time saving is negligible and the true cost is unknown because of the annoying credit system.WILL WE BE ABLE TO directly return edits to Lightroom?
It would save a lot of time if you could paste copied settings and the Auto edit on lighting process at the same time instead of having to go through each photo one at a time after you've pasted your edit settings.
I have over 780 drone footage clips in Lightroom, meticulously cataloged. I wanted to export them after the photos to upload them to our new online photo library (useless for tagging but essential for sharing and access control). And surprise: not a single keyword was included. I discovered that Lightroom doesn't export them, and the plugin I found doesn't work. All we can do now is wait for a Lightroom update so we can use and share our footage, because recataloging it via the online tool would be far too time-consuming and risky to attempt.
Please add a keyboard shortcut to update/refresh the masks when underlying changes are made, such as adding a Spot Removal.
It is very frustrating and even more so then when uploading to AdobeStock that my photos get denied because the keywords are sorted alphabetically. Yes I know! Your own software did that!
Lightroom needs to stop re-ordering our keywords into an alphabetical order. People who are keywording for stock agencies and other purposes need to order their keywords most important and relevant first. Lightroom ruins this for us. I can't believe it's version 5 and Lightroom hasn't figured this out. Lightroom is single-handedly ruining our sales based on keyword searches. Thanks Adobe
When syncing an AI Spot Replacement edit across multiple photos of the same scene, the tool currently applies the edit based on static pixel coordinates. Please implement a function that recognizes the actual object removed in the source photo and dynamically targets that same object in the synced photos, rather than just copying the spatial coordinates
Lightroom: I am looking for an easy and safe way to hide sensitive / private images in the collection without depending on the existing filtering capability
Hello, I often use masking to brighten up a place in the photo, especially for portrait pictures. I always start by selecting the outline of the place I want, except that unfortunately Lightroom Classic doesn’t offer (or maybe a secret function?) to be able to fill the inside of the selection. Because it would save valuable minutes on retouching since I’m not a fan of the automatic skin detection tool. (I often have strange effects on the contours of faces, arms, hands when the background is not the same color. Which is understandable when the colors are a bit similar). I can take about 15 minutes or more for some masks to fill the inside. And even by removing the gradual outline of the brush, to fill the inside and go faster, I often end up with small unpainted spots (setting the exposure to +2.00 to check the entire mask). This option would allow me and could allow us Lightroom users a huge saving of editing time in photography. And as a professional photographer, this time saving is
Metadata fields provide an opportunity to liberate us from the difficulties of using the file system (filenames and directories) for sorting and searching. The Lightroom sort options should take advantage of this. I would particularly like to sort on the Title and Caption fields, and to use multiple sort criteria, as in Sort by Title and then by Capture Time.
