Everytime I open lightroom classis now and try to use my pixieset plugin I get the error code #1000 "Connection failed, please check your internet connection and try again". I have strong internet connection so this isn't the case. I am using Lightroom classic v 14.5.1 on Windows 11 and recently switched internet from spectrum to fiber, not sure if this has anything to do with it. I have removed and added the plugin several time as well. Would appreciate any insight, this has been very frustrating!!
Hi Adobe Lightroom Classic team,I regularly shoot panoramas with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro using Free Panorama mode. In most cases, Lightroom Classic merges them perfectly, so this is not a general issue with DJI panoramas. However, I have encountered several specific panorama sets where Lightroom Classic is unable to create a panorama, while the exact same source files can be successfully stitched in other software, including Affinity Photo. From what I can see, the issue may occur more often with panoramas that contain a larger proportion of sky or less distinct detail in some parts of the frame, although I cannot say for certain that this is the cause.I would be very happy to provide the exact original image sets where Lightroom fails, together with examples of the successful stitched results from other software. This should make it possible to reproduce and investigate the issue directly.Lightroom Classic is my primary photography tool and in most cases its panorama workflow works very wel

This would allow people to start filenames with date-time so alphabetical order is same as capture time order, and would create unique filenames (without yet another field) and properly order bursts.... Presently, exif metadata includes subsecond field, but Lr filenaming template stops at full seconds. So for unique filenames, one would have to tack on some kind of sequence number or something as well. So, as things stand, one can have: YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS_{seq-num}_{photog/camera...} but not (as I would prefer): YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS-MS_{photog/camera...} A side benefit is that filename indicates subseconds between shots in a burst, which is otherwise unavailable in Lightroom without a plugin. Although, I could argue for displaying that too in formatted metadata display, even if only upon mouse-over. --------------- I would like to use Lightroom import dialog box for importing, instead of the plugin I use now, but it stops just shy of what I need/want still. - this is one of the things.
I currently have 34,735 photos in Lightroom, which is just under 2TB of storage. Roughly 2/3rds of these are stored on an external 5TB SSD which is hooked up to my iMac M4, and edited with Lightroom Classic. The other 1/3rd are older photos that I don’t access often, and are on a second external 5TB SSD. These are still connected to the Lightroom library in case I need to edit any for a business client. My problem is that my internal hard drive (512GB) on my iMac is getting full. Out of the 512GB, there is 117GB of Lightroom catalogs (names like “Lightroom Catalog-2-v13-3.zip”), most of which are 3 - 4GB in size, so roughly ¼ of my iMac hard drive is backups for Lightroom. I would like to clean out what I do not need. However, I am not sure what I can safely delete out of these 36 backups.Could anyone help me figure out how to go about this, please?

Hello! I have been using Lightroom for a couple months now (my subscription covers Lightroom classic, desktop, and mobile) and recently all of my photos in Lightroom have become pixelated. This pixelation occurred seemingly at random, and happened to all photos I have in Lightroom - it had never been an issue before and I adjusted no settings around the time this began. It makes the photos more difficult to edit, as I typically zoom in quite far to remove small background objects, and the pixelation best be seen once you have zoomed in. The problem goes beyond editing, however, as my photos save with this pixelation as well. This is happening on all versions of Lightroom I use (classic, desktop, and mobile). I will attach examples photos to this post... Here is the first photo, saved to my device in February, before the pixelation happened. This is how my photos used to look when editing them as well, even while zooming in as far as possible:The second photo is anot
Is Adobe AI Denoise fully optimized for GoPro MISSION 1 PRO 50 MP GPR RAW files?I've been comparing 12 MP and 50 MP RAW files from the new GoPro MISSION 1 PRO.Without AI Denoise, the 50 MP RAW files look very good and preserve more detail and color than the 12 MP files. However, after applying Enhance > Denoise, the 50 MP files frequently develop visible artifacts, while the 12 MP RAW files remain clean and natural.Other users have reported similar behavior. Is this a known limitation of the current AI Denoise model with these new GPR files, or could this indicate a bug?Are there any plans to optimize AI Denoise for GoPro MISSION 1 PRO 50 MP RAW files in a future Camera Raw update?
Fix the scaling of the top menu (File, Edit, etc.) so that the size can be changed. On a 4k monitor the size is tiny and not readable. Changing the windows scaling does NOT the make the menus size change. Changing the size in Lightroom preferences also does not change the top menu size. Most other Apps, such Microsoft Word, etc.,. scaling will change the top menu size but in Lightroom. This problem has been around for 5+ years and it is NOT a Windows problem (their Apps scale). See attached screenshot. The ONLY way I found to change it is too change the monitor resolution to something lower than the actual monitor resolution. That is NOT a fix.
Running MacOS, 15.7.9, LRC 15.5.1Clicked to create a virtual copy and stack count was updated to 2 on the thumbnail, but no thumbnail appeared for the virtual copyTried to expand the stack to show the original and virtual copy. Did not work. Clicked on the stack count and it changed to indicate I was seeing the virtual copy 2. Made edits to virtual image and clicked on stack count to go back to the original image (1 in the stack) and it shows the changes made on the virtual copy. Click again to create another virtual copy and the stack count is updated to 3. Same behavior. Any editing changes to image are made to original regardless of which virtual copy the stack count shows is being displayed. Clicked on Unstack and the stack count icon disappears from the thumbnail of the image, but no virtual copies of the original are displayed. This test was done in a folder with one image only. After the unstack step above the folder count showed 3 photos,
As you compare the grain effect beetwen Lightroom Classic and Silver Efex, you can see that SE is more natural, as the LR grain seems to be plastered on the entire image: the shadows and highlights are equaly recovered with grain while very bright zones shouldn't. It is very visible on B&W pictures. On a picture if I add film grain effect, I use a Luminance mask and reduce the grain slider to reduce grain impact on the Highlights. Not bad but not quite satisfying. I wish LR could implement a better film looking grain. Maybe a slider "preserve HL" could be added in the Grain panel, as it exists in the Vignette panel. Hope this idea helps.
I see that other people are having an issue with the before /after on LrC upgrade on our macs. I have an iMac and it is really annoying that it is blank when I hit the YY. Please fix asap.
After updating LRC v 15.5, I am unable to control or change camera settings on my camera when shooting tethered. The camera will not allow me to change apertures, shutter speed, ISO, focus points etc. When i disconnect tethering, it works fine.I am using Canon R5, Macbook Pro, Sequoia 15.7.1
I used to use HDR editing all the time and one day about 2 weeks ago it stopped working and says it's not compatible with my Pixel 10 Pro XL. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps.
Hi! Kind of a noob here, so please bear with me. Problem: Today, while working in Lightroom Classic, I noticed that a bunch of my photos had an exclamation point icon added to them. See the image below. When I hover over the icon, it says "Error writing metadata" (pretty scary) Clicking the icon opens the window below. When I click "Import Setting from Disk" my adjustments seem to be cleared away (not great, lol). When I click "Retry Metadata Export" that seems to fix the issue. The only problem is that there are thousands of photos that display that icon. At first, I thought the issue was isolated to photos that I had made edits on, but upon further investigation, it seems that that is not the case. Personal Investigation I'd Done: Naturally, I googled the issue but haven't found any definitive answers. In this thread, someone with a similar issue (I think) is told by @JohanElzenga that this is a non-issue, Adobe is aware and working on a
Ever since LRC 15.2 I’m no longer able to create AI masks on any image. It starts to createthe mask then exists the mask creation with out creating the mask. I’m on the latest build of LrC and have updated the drivers for my Nvidia 5020 GPU. I do not get the same behavior on Mobile.
It automatically groups your photos into "Current Session", "Last 24 Hours", "This Week", etc. This stops old edits and exports from mixing with new ones when you return to a catalogue after a break. It saves time by letting you instantly isolate and export only your most recent work. To optimize workflow continuity for high-volume creators, Adobe should introduce a dynamic "Smart Session History" or “Recently Edited” filter within the primary catalogue navigation panel to isolate active work from historical adjustments. Currently, returning to a project after a break requires manual flagging because the native "Edited" status pools all historical data together. This proposed feature utilizes local application state logs to automatically segment edited assets into three real-time categories:Current Session: Isolates only the assets modified since launching the application for the current work block, providing an immediate view for targeted exports. Last 6/12/24 Hours: Bridges the gap a
Dear I would like to use a smart collection that depends on the keyword and I am having many problems:if the keyword has many words for instance “blue birds” and there is also a keyword “birds” if I look for photos with just “birds” it also shows photos of “blue birds” if I work with keyword trees, for instance I do have “birds” and inside two other keywords “small” and “big”. Some photos do only have “birds” and other do only have “small” or “big”. If I ask the filter to show “birds” it also shows those photos with “small” or “big” keyword and that do not have the “birds”. another problem with the keyword trees: supose that I add another keyword “dogs” and inside it I have “small” and “big” keywords. I did not find the the solution to make the smart collection show photos with the specific “big” keyword inside “dogs”. I have tried “dogs > big”, “dogs / big” but didn’t work I have been trying to use a synonim for each keyword with a code without spaces and asking to include the co
When I open a thread (or post a reply to a thread) the posts in the thread are “newest first”. How do I lock in “Oldest first” as the default?
Hi, I had new 2nd shooter working with me yesterday, his CR3 files don’t show in my Lr Classic. I downloaded normal version of LR and all fine. I worked with CR3 files before and didn’t have this issue. Photos show fine in Photomechanic too. When i open a photo via photo viewer, it says “Locked” though i checked all settings and files are not locked, or read-only. I am lost of what else i can do ?
I’m curious how other Lightroom Classic users handle the file-management side of their workflow when working with a lot of photos. After culling/editing/exporting, do you still end up doing things manually outside Lightroom — renaming files, moving images between folders, separating selects/exports, preparing files for another tool, etc.?I’d be interested to hear what your workflow looks like, especially the repetitive parts that Lightroom Classic doesn’t completely cover for you.
On my laptop I use Lightroom & Lightroom Classic. I am told that Lightroom Classic can be used on 2 devices. How do I get it on my phone. I downloaded the free Lightroom from the App Store. Is that different to the version I pay for.
