Lightroom 15.2 - Color Label, Metadata and File Info not working

Preamble: In case this case is a duplicate, please merge. Clostest I did find was this one. But it has issues with the filters themselves whereas I have issues with the display mode and file metadata. Hi and welcome back to yet another episode of me running my head against a wall with Lightroom Classic issues. P: Recover from accidentally closing import menu with ESCOpen for Voting

Was going through bunch of photos I took at an event and using the tilde key (~) to check my picks for edit. Was more or less through all of the 1.2K pictures, when I accidentally hit ESC key located right above, and lost all progress. Is it really that hard to put in a "Do you really want to cancel?" pop up here? Lost like 30 minutes of work. This is UX 101 guys

Lightroom 15,3 MACOS 26,4,1 Ligroom classic stays no responsible on startup

I have tried to restore 2 different backups.It start the first time , but does not show picture when I change folder. Stays stuck when getting out saying He must save ;XMPs but I didn’t touch any picture.Refuse to restart with same problem as shown.Tried the script for permissions without success.Reports send to Adobe.Picture and XMPs visible in Bridge and Camera raw.

Lightroom Classic and Lightroom won't open on my macbook pro

Lightroom Classic just stays on the artwork that is displayed while loading.Seems to get stuck on reading preferences.Lightroom  doesn't open up either but has an error message that says:AgImageIOInit.init: failed to initialize Camera Raw: initializing Camera Raw: dng_error_unknown All other Adobe apps are working so I have no idea what's going on with these.

Invalid registry entry causes missing lrcat icons

The Windows icons for .lrcat files have been missing for several months. See attachments containing “NOK”.I fixed this for LrC 15.2 by changing the Windows registry entry HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AdobeLightroom7.lrcat\DefaultIcon from "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\Lightroom.exe",5 to"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\Lightroom.exe",1See attachments containing “OK”.After installing LrC 15.2.1, the registry entry reverted to '5', which caused the icons to go missing.

A smart collection definition that had been working, no longer works

I have a smart collection definition that seeks out all images that show the down arrow labelled, “Metadata file need to be updated”. It was working fine for a long while but recently it ceased to pick up those files.The instruction is, Match all, “Metadata Status > is not > Up to date”.

External Drive Won't Eject AFTER Lightroom quits. Have to shut down Mac after I use Lightroom to safely remove external. Lightroom is the only program that does this.

Something in Lightroom classic keeps thinking the external where I run my library is still needed. Either I force eject or I shut the Mac down and then remove and restart. Not a big deal, just a daily waste of time.

Sync Settings with Upright Transforms checked doesn’t always check Copy automatically, as was intended by the undocumented change in LR 15.0. To reproduce on LR 15.3 / Mac OS 26.2 (see the attached screen recording): 1. Save the attached file Upright-Transforms.lrtemplate (created in LR 14) to the Copy Paste Subsets subfolder of the Lightroom settings folder. Restart LR. 2. Select two photos and do Sync Settings. Click Check None and click Synchronize. 3. Do Sync Settings again, select the subset Upright Transforms, and observe that Crop is checked (correct). Click Synchronize. 4. Do Sync Settings again.Observe that the subset Upright Transforms is selected (correct) but that Crop is unchecked (incorrect). When you click Synchronize, the Crop is copied, even though it is unchecked.

P: (Win ARM-only) Book Module - Text is rotated 90 degrees

Letters in texts added in books in Book module are rotated in LrC 15.3. The rotation seems to happen per line as displayed (not per carriage return). Switching back to 15.2.1 put the letters correctly again, and upgrading to 15.3 rotates the letters.Attached two screenshots of the same page in a book in 15.2.1 and 15.3.15.2.115.3The letters are also rotated for a new book created in 15.3.

P: Allow searching by "Exposure Bias" in the Lightroom Classic Metadata Library FilterOpen for Voting

Exposure Bias is not currently a searchable field, pleaseinclude it in the Metadata Library Filters. Multiple reasons why this is useful, from photographers who use bracketing, and want to sort through images at 0ev, using fixed exposure compensation on shoots and wanting to select and increase exposure in sets. The list goes on. As this is a Metadata field, and can be displayed in cells, please allow filtering by it too. Thank you.

On my folder panel missing folder up they are still on my collection

On Lightroom classic on the floor panel, I cannot see the folders are the pictures of a pacific file but if I looked in my collection, they are sync to my Lightroom classic folder panel. I can see the photos and the folder how to write from back on my folder panel

P: (AI) Remove Power Lines, Overhead Cables, and WiresOpen for Voting

Love the new feature for AI distractions of people and reflections.. Lets expand on that!!   As a wedding photographer I am constantly removing power lines, stop signs, or just signs in general, exit lights.. It would HUGE if these were added as additional AI options for distraction removal. Feels like it would be a fairly easy addition.    Posted a screenshot as an example.. AI generative fill defintely takes care of it no problem but would save time if we didn't need to manually select it.

Library module freezes

I AM A RETURNING CUSTOMER FROM 5 YRS AGO.I AM NOT SURE IF I INSTALLED ALL OF THESE APPS/PROGRAMS OR NOT, ON 3/21/26: Lr V: 9.2; Lr Classic V:15.2.1 (which I want), PS 2026, V: 27.5.0.13 (WHICH I WANT) & CREATIVE CLOUD V: 6.9.0.6181 (WHICH I THINK IS IN MY PHOTOGRAPHY PLAN) I'M WONDERING IF HAVING ALL OF THESE PROGRAMS IS MY PROBLEM. I have lost the connection between my pictures in Flickr and my public service in lightroom classic. Im using JF Flickr (Jeffrey). Its 0 pictures there, I have around 1500 on Flickr. I have tried to reaturized them, remove JF application in Flickr and in Lightroom, noting seems to help. Flickr suport coundent help and Jeffrey is not aswering. Someone here who could help or have any ide what to do? I have used his service for many yaers, and from time to time I have to reinstal his “program”

Issue: The Point Color functionality has stopped working post upgrade.Steps to reproduce: Mask an area of the image, then go to Point Color under the mask adjustment section, click the dropper icon and then move the cursor to the image. At that point the dropper icon vanishes (as soon as the cursor moves over the image). Distorted view in develop module after rotating picture

Upon rotating an image 90º (clockwise), it becomes completely distorted, albeit only in Develop mode, in Library (and, most fortunately, when exporting) it’s OK.distorted in develop module (OK in filmstrip and library mode)Rotating back (counterclockwise) doesn’t restore normal proportions. P: Creating a preset with just Remove selected fails

Creating a develop preset with Remove selected but no Remove commands applied to the photo appears to succeed. A .xmp file is created, but the preset doesn’t appear in the Presets panel. To reproduce on LR 15.2 / Mac OS 26.2: 1. Open a photo in Develop and click Reset. 2. Create a preset named “_remove”, with just Remove, Reflections, People, and Dust checked. Observe that no error is displayed but “_remove” doesn’t appear in the Presets panel, though the file “_remove.xmp” appears in the Settings folder.

LR is crashing each time I try and do an Optimize catalog.

P: Bring back the ability of Enhance to run in the background. (LrC)Released

I just updated to Lightroom Classic 14.4 and although I do like the fact that I can Denoise without creating a DNG file, I still would like the option to select a series of images and menu: Photo>Enhance... to let it create dngs in the background which enables me to work on other images while it;s doing those. Currently, in 14.4 it takes a long time, especially if I have multiple images that I am denoising and I cannot do anything elese while it's doing that process. Is there still a way possible to do it the old previous way of creating a DNG Denoised file? Seems like an oversight when implementing this new way and slows down my whole workflow.
