Preferences can be taken over during the install of a new version. This is not working. Or preferences can be taken over afterwards, both ways are explained in your support link, both ways do not work. There is no need to read lots of websites, these two ways should work but they do not, it's that simple.

This is NOT working. Doing this ends up opening InDesign with an error message, saying thtat the Indesign preferences were created with another version of InDesign and will be reset to standard. So please fix this.

That's really bad. I do not have the time to check the preferences with the older version to look what preferences I had and the worse thing is, ALL defined colours are gone... Same is for formats and stuff, I have to do everything from the scratch, this is really really bad!
So please let us use the preferences of the older version as it always worked that way before!

But generating a completely new image from the scratch in printable quality is still not possible. And always having to watch the 2000x2000px limitation while working is not very good either.

does this mean that larger images (oh, say, from ANY current digital camera) cannot be used with AI features? Generated parts or images are still of low resolution and not really usable for professional stuff it seems.

Same here. Today I installed version 25 of Photoshop with generative fill officially open for commercial use. Still the generated images are blurry and of low resolution. Not really of any use... So when is there gonna be high resolution support coming?

Same problem here. And apparently still no solution... Working with InDesign using a VPN is nearly impossible. Opening documents takes sometimes over an hour... copying the file on the local HD and it takes seconds or maybe some minutes. But when opened the document still can not be used because beachball is spinning. The more linked files in the doc, the longer the beachball appears. And copying all files I may need to the local disc is absolutely no solution. I don't have terrabytes of local storage and I do not know in the beginning Which files I'm going to need.

Ah what? ^^ Gradient layer effect on a layer is set to ONLY K but now it is processed in CMYK in Photoshop. This even happens to older fotos with this adjustment opened in Photoshop 23.
