Besides using Frameexperts script, Pathchanger, one can also use another of his exellent scripts, ArchiveEs. It works by archiving an entire book project with all linked images and fm files. When run, you will direct it at a new folder where it neatly will create a copy of all files in the book and generate an image folder for all linked images and another folder for all linked fm files. I did some experiments with chm a little while ago (https://community.adobe.com/t5/framemaker-discussions/mpj-single-source-error/td-p/14971137 ) and it was a sorry mess, unfortunately. I believe you will have to replace the /t tab character in the numbered paragraph set up with em spaces or merely blank spaces. My thinking is that the question mark is FrameMaker being unable to replace the tab characte with a fixed space. Taking out the tab character and replacing it with a blank space, will probably make things work for you. I am not altogether sure I understand your question correctly, but I suspect you would like to avoid blank pages. If that is the case you will go to Format -> Page Layout -> Pagination where you can work with the pagination setup       "Delete Empty Pages" will take care of the empty pages, but be aware that you need to keep an eye on your templates requirements for 1st page setup. ... I suspect this issue is abot equations made before the days of Unicode. I don't have an overview as to how many of the equatioins that are affected, but changing font from the Baskerville used, to Century Schoolbook makes  no difference. I believe the cause was that these were - very - old FM documents from early nineties. Maybe there's some "stuff" missing on the reference pages or somewhere else, that prohibits generation hyperlinks in minitocs. I did test again with new documents, and, as you say, this works ok.
