hi there, i'm trying to create an outfit mockup that is not straightforward. i've watched the only 2 videos i could find for complex mockups and i can't get past the basic stage of selecting the correct tools (which i have but they don't work the way the person in the video shows it to work) which is lasso and object selection. i have the selection set to lasso and it will not change to lasso it's a cross with the square when it should be a lasso with a square, there's gotta be a secret thing i'm missing, these videos make big assumptions and never go into detail. please help. thanks bec. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/FJfLaLDMPjQ   ... hi there, desperate, for some reason i'm having trouble sending a picture of a nut (bolt) to the front of the circle icon, see pic. i had no issues placing the other items on top of the circles but this one will not work, i've looked at layers etc but can't work it out. tearing my hair out ready to put my fist through the screen!!! oh and there is NO option to arrange to front upon right clicking the image. help please!       <Title renamed by MOD>   ... Hi all, I have watched countless video's on this, it never works for me, my shapes are too complex. Obviously, I want the flag to fill the black outline. I have expanded the black outline many times, I have made it a compound path etc etc blah blah blah. The flag is a png, have tried Ai file also. Hello, I always seem to have issues with this, sometimes things look amazing and other times they don't, there is no rhyme or reason for this. When uploading images of my surface pattern designs from Illustrator to my website or InDesign, as either jpg, png, or pdf, depending on which one doesn't look too hideous because of the white lines, a lot of the time the white lines appear. If I turn off anti aliasing, sometimes, the lines disappear, but then it looks like a hot mess of pixelation. I have also tried to round the output of the vector prior to exporting as jpg, png or pdf to full numbers ie 4cm instead of 4.023cm to try and control the issue, but does not necessarily work all the time. I seemed to have gone a few years with no issues then bam! Issues. Maybe each update of Illustrator influences it also? Is this an Adobe issue or a monitor/proportion issue? Thanks very much. Bec ... for some reason all of a sudden whenever I create something with the pen or brush tools, the lines are jagged, usually they are automatically smooth. I have checked all the settings and nothing has changed there. the motif was done with image trace and I tried using the smooth tool to fix the rough edges on that but it didn't work. i've been trying to trace over the motif with the brush and/or pen tool and the edges are as horrible as the image trace. i understand how the tools and smooth works, but i can't understand why, all of a sudden, it's creating sh!t lines. so frustrating. thanks any help welcome   ... Hi the error msg "To create Artboards, select non-rotated rectangles that are not clipping masks" is preventing me from creating an artboard of 2 separate layers. I have a background on layer 3, texture on layer 2, motif on layer 1. I need to overcome this error to make a repeating pattern. The previous posts with answers DO NOT work for me.
