Hi, When I apply Time Remapping keyframes, and then try to add multiple scale keyframes on a clip, the scale keyframes do not properly playback/render. To make it work, I have to nest the clip. On a complicated edit, this means I have to do nests-within nests-within nests for my edits. This is a messy workflow that makes it difficult to fine-tune edits and complicates onlining and finishing. Have had this issue with ProRes Proxy clips and H.264 clips. I first thought it was cause by the h.264 clips, but am having the same issue with ProRes Proxy media. Mac OS 14.4.1 (23E224) Apple M1 Max Macbook Pro Premiere Pro 24.3.0

Hi, I have two ongoing projects started in 23.3. When installing 23.4 I get a spinning ball in one project and on the other laggy clicks -> spinning ball. Crash on rendering in and outs. I do not have Blackmagic Desktop Video installed. Macbook Pro M1 Max Ventura 13.3.1 Best, Randy

My panels always open a new window off-screen. I have to cmd+double click to recenter it and then place it where I want. I work out of panels like bins while editing, so this slows me down quite a bit. How can I permanently fix this? I work off a Macbook Pro connected via Caldigit TS4 dock with the built in monitor+ 4K monitor + 1920x1200 monitor. Layout picture below. This issue occurs on the 1920x1200 monitor. Thank you!

This is not fixed in AE v22.6.0 nor Premiere 22.6.4--how does this happen? This is a basic function in production and of this program. And don't suggest updating to CC2023. Commercial studios are still using CC2022.

The burden shouldn't be on your paying customers to supply all documentation, we're all professionals already taking time out of our day to report a common bug. Many of us have informed you of the same bug. How has the team not taken this and investigated it? Everyone here is saying, 'Hey look, acrobat isn't usable on my mac.' And you cannot confirm nor deny being able to replicate that issue in the public forum. What's going on?

Thank you for calling attention to this bug, speed effects are a core tool in an editors arsenal. This bug also appears when I batch render to Media Encoder, even if I'm running in Rosetta, meaning I cannot batch export. Another frustrating problem, as I often have numerous delivarables, cutdowns and spec requirements for distribution channels, slowing down my workflow quite a bit and impacting my ability to hit deadlines in a timely manner.

No I am a professional editor and understand the limitations of Optical Flow and its implementation, and how to get it to work properly. This is a rendering error with M1 Macs and Premiere.

Hi, I am having a consistent bug in which optical flow on clips renders improperly on my M1 Max Macbook Pro. This occurs on both .mp4 and ProRes clips during timeline renders and exports. This bug appears to have been around for some time. Unless fixed, I cannot use my M1 machine on commercial projects. M1 Max, 64GB memory Version 22.0.0 (Build 169) Thanks!

Hi, I'm on an extended project that is centered around cell phone footage. Sync and smooth video playback was an issue in CC 2017 and we developed a workflow to force conform to a constant frame rate with FFMPEG. This worked but is not ideal. We are concerned that forcing a constant frame rate affects the smoothness of the video playback. I'd like to take advantage of the CC2018 update with VFR support. Our workflow: Transcode cell phone footage from .mp4 to ProRes 422 ProRes 422 files are our master video files that we edit with and send to color If I use Media Encoder to transcode the .mp4 cell phone footage, will the software take advantage of the new VFR functionality? Does it default to smooth video or preserve audio sync? Thanks! Randy

Working in Premiere Pro 2017.1.2. In a studio that keeps all of the machines on the same version. A quick google will return threads from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 about disappearing markers. Here is a thread regarding CC 2018: CC2018: Markers Disappeared... Markers disappear. It's been a consistent problem in Premiere. Each time we are told to file bug reports. It's never fixed. It breaks between updates. I can't speak for other editors, but when I'm editing between 10 - 17 hours a day, I don't have time to repeatedly log bug reports about a bug that has been around for years. I'm currently editing a project that is a mix of multicam and merged clips. Merged Clips - I spent a good chunk of an edit day, that the schedule simply does not allow me to make up, marking merged clips with chapter markers/descriptions. All of those markers are gone. If I keep the clip open and drop it into a sequence, the marker is not on the clip. Am I not supposed to use merged clips? When choosing to sync external audio with video, is it reasonable to expect editors using Premiere to just to accept that markers don't function with merged clips? Multicam markers - I can mark multicam clips in the source window but I cannot make the overlays display my marker notes in the source monitor. I have to drop the clip into a sequence to display the overlay. Why is the functionality crippled? When I drop the multicam clip into the sequence, I can read the markers, but I cannot mark the clips themselves from inside a sequence. I'm sure there are more issues with markers people are dealing with. I'd love people to compile any additional information. This is a basic function of editing and Adobe continues to put out releases with broken functionality of markers. How does this get through QC before release and how is this not being solved in a timely manner? I'm not sure if 2018 has been fixed as I'm in a 2017 environment. As studios still haven't updated to 2018, I'd love to see a fix released for 2017 and 2018. Is this unreasonable? Also, maybe the engineers should have a sticky on their whiteboard or wherever they check bugs to remind them to not forget markers when CC 2019 is released because this situation is absurd. Simply checking clips isn't a thorough check. Maybe there should be a second sticky that says "remember to check multicam and merged clips." A third sticky could say "drop the clips into a sequence, can you mark the clips? do the marks stay?" I'd love to file more bug reports but unfortunately I have to work.

Hi All, I often work with multiple sequences open and have a hotkey that scrolls through sequence tabs. However, the hotkey is a bit less useful because the tab ordering doesn't seem to change I as adjust my tab order. What is the tab order and is there a way to control it? Ideally it would update as I shuffle the order of my sequence tabs. Thanks!

Hi, I'm importing an XML that links to DPX image sequences and it brings in a single still image. I offline the media and re-link and click 'image sequence' box - still brings in that single frame. Any solves here or does Premiere just not work well with image sequences. I posted another thread the other day about DPX and alphas. Does Premiere work with DPX + alpha? Thanks, Randy

Just completed production on a project that shot Arriraw. This issue has still not been addressed. Frankly, Premiere Pro is not a suitable platform for RAW projects longer than 60 seconds, unless you have a full staff of assistant editors. Batch importing is not the only issue. Round-trip workflows are also affected by the way Premiere recognizes RAW media. This dates back to 2014. This is baffling. [Moderator note: branched and retitled for clarity and relevance of issue]

It's not just CinemaDNG. We just had a project that was shot with arriraw and you can't do functions like replace as Premiere doesn't recognize the footage as an image sequence.

Not sure if this is news, but here is some info in the Camera Raw 9.1 update: Fixed Bugs: Reduced “color blur” artifacts when processing Fujifilm X-Trans raw images. In collaboration with Fujifilm, we are still investigating methods to improve fine detail rendering and overall edge definition. The “Remove Chromatic Aberration” checkbox is now enabled by default for all Fujifilm cameras. Fixed crash when reading some JPEG images. Fixed bug where Camera Raw Filter would incorrectly show a soft-proofed image. Improved quality of display color management on some wide-gamut displays when GPU acceleration is enabled. HDR and Pano Merge: Cleared in-camera crop before merging rather than destructively applying it prior to merging. Pano Merge: Fixed a Pano blending issue specific to Leica M9. Fixed a bug with Panasonic LX100 – extended ISO 100 was too bright and Magenta Highlights have been fixed. Fixed a bug with Nikon Coolpix P7800 NRW raw files that showed only Matrix as camera profile.
