I have an entirely new PC. Specs:AMD Threadripper 1960x 16-coreGeforce GTX 8GB graphics card48gb DDR4 memory2x SSD Samsung EVO 500gbStill Premiere stutters while playing back. It stutters in 4K, but has the same exact stutter when editing HD or even lower.. There's definetely a problem in software or collaboration with one of my hardware parts.. Who has/had the same and can help me?!

I'm looking to buy a new PC laptop for Premiere Pro.  The NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card is offered on a lot of new Core i7 machines, but I don't see that exact graphics card in Adobe's system requirements list.  Is their list not updated frequently?  Is it safe for me to assume that any new laptop with a Core i7 processor, any new NVIDIA GeForce graphics card, 16 GBs of RAM, etc... will be a good machine to run Premiere Pro on?[Moderator note: moved to best forum.]

Working on two separate projects with different types of footage, they both are causing the Premiere interface to be slow and laggy. Clicking the playhead on the timeline requires a half second to a second for the playhead to jump to that position...dragging clips lags behind the mouse by a second or two...it's making editing very difficult.I originally thought it was Lumetri effects but I have removed all effects from the timeline and the interface remains slow and laggy.I've also tried deleting all the Media Cache.The footage and Cache folder are on an SSD RAID which the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test puts at about 960 MB/sec read speed, so it can't be a media bottleneck.I'm on a Mac Pro 5,1 with OS 10.13.2, 96 GB RAM, 3.33Ghz 12-core, GTX 1080Ti, using OpenCL.[Moderator note: moved to Hardware forum hoping for help to OP.]

I work primarily in Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop. I have started using Dimension more recently as well. I would like to fluidly (as much as possible) be able to work with 3D spaces as well as the occasional 4k footage, which has caused my (NEW) workstation to crash on more than one occasion. At the moment, I have:CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 v3 @ 3.50GHzRAM: 32 GBGPU: NVIDIA Quadro K2200

First off my system consists of this:CPU: Core I7 8700KRAM: 32GB 2400MHz DDR4GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080STORAGE:500GB  Crucial MX500 SSD (system and apps)500GB Samsung 970 Pro NVMe SSD (Premiere project & content)500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD (scratch disk)I have a sub 2min 4K Premiere project with little more than Lumetri colour adjustments that is taking 1 hour 45 min to export in .mp4  and I'm seeing CPU performance bounce between 20 – 30%.I have tried Bill Gehrke's benchmarks as best I can given they're meant for PC not MAC. Unfortunately I can't create an output.csv to show exact results but it was pretty obvious it was the Disk test that was crazy slow (over 11 minutes). Bill Gehrke​Any suggestions?

Hi there,About six months ago I asked a question on these forums about Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 not importing video correctly, but the audio from the file worked fine. I was told by multiple people that not only does my computer not have enough RAM, but my processor is inadequate for the requirements to run the program. I've tried doing research on this and I do think that with an investment, it might be possible to change my processor and buy RAM so that I will be able to use the software. However, I wanted to double check here and make it super clear exactly what I'm looking to do. so i want to get a new computer. im looking at the 2011 21.5in imac. but im not sure if it will be good for video editing. here are the specs of the machine 201121.5 in screen sizeintel core i7 2.8ghz  8gb of ram (Should i upgrade the ram?) 1tb of hdd storage OS X High Sierrais this good enough for editing 1080p videos or should i look at something different. or just upgrade certain parts like ram  

Just building a new pc...and all over the Internet I keep reading and hearing about having multiple SSD's for OS, Scratch disks, Media and Project files etc. etc.But I'm curious has anyone ever actually tested this? Or is this just what everyone keeps telling everyone else?ie. I wonder if purchasing one high quality SSD and then a large Media Regular HDD...would effectively do just as well as these multi SSD setups?Has anyone here actually compared the performance? Which processor, which will allow at least 128 GB RAM will give the best performance in After Effects?What about the Xeon W-2155 vs the i9-7900X vs the i7-7820X?Would the Xeon W-2155 have the lowest heat when under load (it seems it might from the puget systems thermal image) and would that mean less fan noise and maybe greater reliability, and maybe more time at a high turbo speed? The Xeon also seems to support more RAM (eg. one site allows it to be configured ot 256 GB. The intel site says it actually supports up to 512 GB). While it's more expensive than the other 2, the advantages could be it may be more reliable, less noisy. Maybe running cost (electric) could be lower?What about speed comparisons between all 3?What are your thoughts on all 3 or other processors (that support 128 GB RAM) for After Effects work etc.?

Hello everyone, I'm starting a Youtube channel, and will be doing video editing (1080p 60fps with possibly some 4K), using Premiere Pro and After Effects. I plan to shoot with a Panasonic Lumix G7. Anyone else have this issue ever with this thing... I am upconverting sd to hd upon capture...and have the pillarbox option ticked but it captures anamorphic no matter what...I tried ticking anamorphic to see if it then will capture pillarbox---figured it was good bm logic. No still anamorph...Any suggestions --Im on driver version 10.9..ThanksTony

I just upgraded my computer to an i7 7820x to speed up editing and upgraded to the latest version of Premiere Pro.Upon opening it for the first time, when the Adobe intro video starts, I get a BSOD right away with a general "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" and the computer restarts.When opening a project, everything seems to be working fine, except the tiltler: every single time I adjust the properties of a title (shadow, transparency, size, etc) I get a blue screen of death.I tried everything: clean re-installation of windows, different drivers, older versions of GPU drivers. The computer always crashes on adjusting titles.I also tried gaming like crazy (to put the system under intense stress) and everything works fine, so I think it's not a computer issue but a problem with Premiere Pro.Now I'm stuck and I cannot proceed with my work.My configuration is as follows:Intel i7 7820xGigabyte X299 UD432Gb ram1Tb M.2 SSDNvidia GTX 980 TiLatest version of Premiere Pro as of 13 august 2017Thanks.

As above, I've tried everything, updating GPU, 1080 ti, updating premiere, adding supported cards text file to folder, and still always has the gpu acceleration feature greyed out in render "not available". Any help would be tremendously appreciated as this is affecting my career lol.

Hello, I have to renew my pc soon.Currently equipped with a 6700k 1080gtx HDD4To 32gb Ram 2400mhz.I have mounted projects (5 hours rush, for clip max 10min) of 4k Prores 4444 XQ Arri and 5k R3D I thought a config like that 7940x motherboard ASUS about 400 dollars, two SSD 970 Pro of 500 go each for the rush and a small 860 evo 250go for the bone.
