Question

It definitely feels like there's a lot of Adobe side excuses being made - (UI font size issue)

It definitely feels like there's a lot of Adobe side excuses being made to
justify taking a feature away that a lot of people needed in service of yet
another addition that most people weren't asking for. Adobe sometimes feels
like a company that is amusing itself with new toys more than servicing
their userbase with long LONG requested but not headlining grabbing
features.

Another option would be a magnifying glass on a stand for hands-free viewing. Alternatively, a large Fresnel like the kind used for solar cookers might do the trick; just position it a few inches from the monitor.

A better solution may be to exchange your current monitor for a 65" OLED TV. That way, when you need to read Premiere's tiny UI font you can just step in closer.

    Probably not.

This is a bit OT, but there are a lot of technical reasons that TV screens,
even high-quality OLED or LCD/Quantum Dot panels, are not as suitable as
    computer monitors.

For casual use, sure, but definitely not for high-precision work such as
video or photo editing, and color grading.

Worst idea ever. Native resolution is critical for a monitor's top performance.  Other resolutions make text blurry and less bright.  Scaling is a better solution but it's an excuse for poor PP gui.

In large, corporate environments, top-down from the CEO always works magic
where the bureaucracy rank-and-file get overruled.

I suggest PR efforts, writing/emailing/calling the CEO, the press and
media, and stock analysts/influencers, and anything other than clicking an
"upvote" is more useful than passively assuming this feedback is being
    taken seriously to change priorities.

I don't advise this approach. The product managers are now aware of the severity of this feature request and has promised to prioritize it. The team is doing the best they can to address the concern ASAP. I would advise you to upvote and encourage others to upvote. That is what has worked in the past. I will also continue to advocate for this issue on behalf of users, as I am also an editor that needs an adjustable UI. I apologize for this ongoing problem.

    Thank You,

    Kevin

I'm sorry, but this has got to be the most insane defense of Adobe's lack
of a heavily requested feature I've ever heard.

I am not dumbing down my screen, which I use for many other tasks also,
just to workaround an Adobe software problem.

Also, on a Mac, 5K retina resolution is amazingly clear and I can never go
back to a lower resolution, blurry monitor - for anything.

If you're an optimist, Adobe will have this font size issue resolved within a year. If a realist, 3 years.

There’s a real irony here. All the work going into some incredible (AI and other) features - e.g. generative extend, aren’t much at all if you can’t see the interface clearly…. I would this request should go right to the top of the list - and that’s before we consider the inclusion aspect.

This is where ... quite literally, in fact! ... we all see things differently. I have no trouble with the current font, across my four monitors, even after um ... many years of professional working. We'll leave it at that.

Most younger workers don't have an issue. But some workers of all ages do. That percentage is darn near impossible for us users to know, and ... from my experience of things Adobe, the key data here is their perception of the percentage of the user base affected. In general, the larger the percentage, the higher priority is assigned to things.

That isn't a "controlling" factor, but simply a major one.

I'd prefer user controls and options, in everything, always!!!! ... please! So yea, I don't need this but I sure wish we had it!

    Everyone's mileage always varies ...

Well, one of my recent clients is a manufacturing support operation, hiring the vision impaired and even the blind. (I won’t name them, for obvious reasons.) I can say this. It is fully supported by one of the largest aerospace manufacturers in the world. Some of their employees are vision impaired and use Adobe. The Font size of the UI is critical. Vision impaired UI is on the software producer's lap - not some third-party enhancement that takes away from productive workflow. Another client, a boat manufacturer, insisted that we use an accessibility module on their website for hearing and vision impaired people.  Just think of the ramifications for vision impaired people who use Adobe Premiere. I’ve been using Adobe products since Adobe became Adobe. Before Adobe, I used Macromedia, MacroMind and actually used CMX linear and hybrid non-linear. I’ve seen a lot.

Thank you, Francis. We appreciate the communication, but can we, for the last time, cease scolding your users for finding and implementing (internal engineering tools) we have been hacking for years without incident? It's not our fault someone dared to share the fire of knowledge so we could freaking read your panels. The only people regularly breaking these apps are your own team. We are understandably upset to have a new "feature" revealed that does nothing, literally nothing to address the singular outstanding issue your aging user base has been begging on for years. For the love of God, stop adding bloat, FOCUS, dig in and make this work at long last.
