Question

Adobe Acrobat Reader Edit PDF from Amazon Appstore

I have an Amazon Fire HD8+ tablet; and when I try to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader Edit PDF app, it finishes the download's progress bar, but it will not install.  I receive an error message:  "Install failed!"  According to the Amazon Appstore and also on Amazon's website (https://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Acrobat-Reader-Edit-PDF/dp/B0C9QWV9K2/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8)

the app is compatible with my device.  An Amazon Help tech spent 45 minutes with me on the phone trying to find a solution, even consulting with a senior specialist, to no avail.  I was told to contact Adobe.  I sent an email requesting help, but I thought perhaps other Fire-tablet owners may have had this failed installation and found a work-around.  I'm hoping that an Adobe specialist may see this question and provide a downloading method that works.

To who?  Adobe doesn't offer email support.  Email is not a secure channel.

Beware of fake Adobe reps who may contact you privately offering to sell you software or take control of your computer. It's a scam, run away! Real Adobe employees will never reach out via Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail or Skype.

Thank you for your responses, Nancy.  Adobe sent back an email to me with a link I was able to use in order to get to the bottom of the issue.  I will share what I found out with the hope that other Fire Tablet owners will be spared the frustration I went through (along with the poor Amazon Help tech who tried for 45 minutes to resolve the issue).  The Adobe Acrobat Reader Edit PDF app is currently in the Amazon Appstore (I accessed it on my Fire Tablet).  When I checked compatibility, it showed a green check mark next to the name of my Fire Tablet.  However, it will only download, not install.  Here's why:  The Adobe link allowed me to chat with an Adobe rep.  He stated that Adobe Acrobat Reader Edit PDF is only available in Android and iOS operating systems.  Of course, Fire Tablet owners know that, although our devices are similar to Android, they are not pure Android.  So, it is no wonder that the app wouldn't install.  The Adobe chat rep. was not aware that the app is shown as available to Amazon Appstore customers.  He gave me a link which I could use to report the issue to Adobe as a "suggestion," which I have already done.  BTW, there was a time (2012) when Adobe Acrobat Reader was available and worked well on my original Kindle.  Apparently, those days are gone.
