This "forum question" seems to marked as "answered".

The latest updates do not have a reply from a staff-member.

I have tried to send an email to susoni@adobe.com

Let's see whats happen now.

There is another open question with the same problem and this is marked as "answered": Re: When you open the PDF, a folder called "blob_storage" is generated without permission

I am using Reader DC 2019.012.20035 and the folder blob_storage will be created on network drives (when usnig newer pdf-files and open pdf directly from network folder - not from the list of recently used pdf-files inside ReaderDC).

Unfortunately, I have to pile on here, as well. I have two enterprise clients who complain about this issue daily because they have to double back after work and clean up all of the folders. I can also confirm it only occurs when launching a PDF via double-clicking, and the folder is created in the same path location.

The problem with "blob_storage" is already tortured.

Updated with the patch, rebooted computer, still getting "blob_storage" folder any time a doc is opened. Patch fail

Same issue here! We updated with the patch, rebooted and are still getting "blob_storage" folders any time you open a .PDF from a server drive by double clicking on the .PDF file.

NOTE: If you open Adobe DC and navigate to the .PDF file and open it from there, the "blob_storage" folders are not created.  Very strange bug.

Can anyone say when the fix will be coming out?  Its driving our users nuts.

We are still seeing the issue when saving a pdf to a network folder. It creates the blob_storage folder in the network folder.

The same thing here: still creating blob_storage folder on network drives after latest update of Acrobat Pro DC.

Please describe how to go back to previous version which has not this issue. We can't wait until the fix, because this bug makes it painful to work properly with Acrobat Pro DC on network drives. We have not found any workaround yet.

Going back isn't straightforward, but in essence: (1) turn off auto update (2) uninstall (3) reinstall the base release (4) make sure auto update is still off (5) install the patch for the earlier version you want (6) check auto update is still off.

Any news on this matter? We are facing the same trouble with Acrobat Pro DC 2019.012.20034 on Windows 10 Pro: everytime we open a PDF file from a network share, the "blob_storage" folder is created on the network folder which holds that PDF.

As there is still no software update after one week, is there a way to go back to the previous version which doesn't have this issue?

I am currently in private conversation with Sunil2201, the support has sent me a fix that solves the problem but which causes another one. (Multiple error messages when starting acrobat)

I reported this problem yesterday and I am waiting for news from the support.

I will bring the solution here.

The issue is occurring for one of our clients as well for all 80+ users. This is a large issue and needs to be addressed as it causes a lot of folder clean-up needing to be done every time someone opens a pdf document.

Please Sunil2201 , provide me with the private build to work on fix as well.
