Question

Cannot extract the embedded font 'JNNCFD+CTHeiTiSF'

I'm trying to open a file I've used many times in the past and printed out... but it's been probably 5-6 years sine the last time.

It's now giving me this error: "Cannot extract the embedded font 'JNNCFD+CTHeiTiSF'. Some characters may not display or print correctly."

I tried to go through some of the other similar posts in past discussion threads, but could not find a resolution to this that allowed me to view what's there. I understand the font may have been embedded incorrectly at some point, but a lot of people were previously able to open this, so I'm hoping there's a way to still do that somehow!

Thanks!

Hi @jsmith389234,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader.

If you can view the file correctly, printing the same file should not be much of an issue.

You can get more clarity about my point from the below post, which has the solution to a question similar to yours: Solved: Cannot extract the embedded font error

Hope this helps.

Thanks, @S. S - maybe I should've specificied: the file is missing all of the characters under that font. So things are not showing up at all, and I cannot view it.

So I'm wondering about other ways I might try to view so that I can see all of the characters that should be on the pages...
