Question

Close, Restore, Minimize buttons not working

Apparently Acrobat Reader updated itself and now it is maximized by default, when I try to restore to smaller window or drag the window to my second monitor the top bar does not work and if I have an app open behind Reader that program is minimized or restored to smaller window as if the Reader buttons are not even there. How can I fix or get an older version of reader that is less terrible?

Hi Msimpson

We are sorry for the trouble. As described, close, restore and minimize buttons are not working.

We tried to reproduce the issue on our end and its working fine.

Would you mind sharing the version of the OS you are using?

Please try to repair installation (For Windows Only) Go to Help > Repair Installation and see if that helps.

If it still doesn't work

Let us know how it goes

Regards

This just started for me. Windows 10 Version 21H1, KB4493218.

Acrobat Reader

Acrobat DC V22

I have to close either application by right cliking the icon in the tray.

Can I uninstall and reinstall using the Creative Cloud Desktop?

Hi there

Please try to repair the installation from the help menu and reboot the computer once ad see if that works.

Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works.
