Hello @Andros!
I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out.
++ In addition to what our community product experts have already shared, Microsoft ended support for the Windows operating system for Windows 7 in 2020, and support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025. Ad e officially does not support the product on end-of-life operating systems. See the Adobe article for more details: https://adobe.ly/4jvIdfG
For troubleshooting, as one of our community experts suggested, you can restart the machine and try resetting the preferences. You can do a clean installation using the Acrobat Cleaner tool, restart the machine, and then try to run the Reader in compatibility mode. Note: These steps may or may not work with the current Windows 7 operating system. Download the Reader, and choose the supported operating system.
-
Right-click on AcroRd32.exe it:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\
-
Click Properties > Compatibility tab.
-
Check "Run "his program in compatibility mode for" and"select Windows 7 or Windows XP (SP3).
-
Also, check “Run "his program as an administrator.”
-
Click Apply > OK and relaunch the application.
Running unsupported software on an unsupported OS exposes your system to security vulnerabilities and limits the ability to troubleshoot or receive updates. Adobe does not recommend using the application on an unsupported operating system.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
