Error while downloading Acrobat Reader

I HAVE NO VERSION OF ACROBAT READER INSTALLED ON MY SYSTEM AND STILL WHEN I AM DOWNLOADING ACROBAT READER IT IS SHOWING ERROR " NEWER VERSION ALREADY INSTALLED". I HAVE EMPTIED MY RECYCLE BIN AND REMOVED ALL THE RELATED PROGRAMS BUT STILL ERROR IS DISPLAYED. PLEASE HELP ME TO GET OUT OF IT.
