Question

Scrolling speed, save without any prompt and shortcut-keys for tools

Hi, I'm new to using Adobe Reader.

Previously I used Foxit PDF reader

I have few queries about some functionalities in Adobe Reader.

1     The scrolling speed is very high, is there any way to control it?

2     When I click save pdf after editing it, Reader opens save as window and ask me to save it as new pdf file.

is there any way to save pdf files after editing, without opening 'save-as' prompt?   (when I click save, it should save. that't it)

3     Is there any short-cuts keys for selecting tools (like Highlighter, padding etc..) or better can we assign them ourselves?

    1. With Automatic Scroll on, tap the numbers on the Numeric keypad. Nine is fast, one is slow.

    2. You can find Protected mode in Properties > Advanced (Windows only)

    3. You can't create your own shortcuts, but you can go to Acrobat > Preferences > General and turn on Single-key accelerators. If you are on Windows, Preferences is in the Edit menu. Hover over the tools to see:
      Selection:     V
      Hand:          H
      Zoom:          Z
      Link:             L

    2. This happens when the protected mode is enabled.
