Snipping tool not copying selected area to clipboard

Question

I am using the snipping tool to copy and paste parts of a PDF; however, it has all of a sudden stopped working. Whenever I snip, nothing is copied to the clipboard. The clipboard works when copying things outside of Acrobat, though. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, and it didn't help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20117 (Win), 20112 (Mac) go to help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

As you have tried to remove and reinstall the application with no luck, please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win only) and see if that helps.

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
