Tools Pane bug in February release of Reader

• It may be possible that Compatibility Mode Settings are on for Adobe Acrobat Reader on your machine. Please follow the steps below to turn it off and then try your workflow
  • Right click on Acrobat Reader DC icon from the desktop and select “Properties”
  • Click on “Compatibility” tab and Turn off the Compatibility mode settings(by unSelecting the checkbox for Compatibility mode if it is already selected)
  • Relaunch Acrobat Reader DC and see if you get this Blue pop up menu again ?
    You can also attach the snapshot of your Compatibility mode settings here to let us know further if it was previously Turned on ?
    Let me know if that fixes your concerns ?

If after following the babove step still issue is repro at your end Please provide the below info to triage the issue at our end.

• can you please provide the Acrobat Reader Registry hive to us. 

you can goto Registry Editor, then Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\, Right Click on "DC" and export

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, Reader appears to be ignoring the following setting to ''Remember current state of Tools Pane"

Please try to reboot the computer once and see if that helps.

If it still doesn't work, please try to repair the installation (Windows Only) Go to Help > Repair Installation and reboot again and check.

If it still doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences to default as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works for you.

Sorry for the Inconvinience caused at your end. we tried the same workflow at our end but are unable to repo the issue. Could you please help us with the screen recording of the issue do that we traige the issue better.
