Update screwed up how my files display...

Updated from 2021.001.20150 to 2021.005.20058 and now my .pdf files are acting wonky.

Homepage opens up fullscreen as it should. Click on a button to open a new file in a new window and it opens fullscreen like it should. Closing that window, the homepage is now displayed NOT in fullscreen, which it did before the update.

To summarize, a fullscreen window does not remain full size once a new window has been opened then closed.

Can anyone tell me what setting changed in the update that would cause this and how do I get it back?

Thanks!

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Have you tried to reset the Acrobat preferences and creating a new test user profile with full admin rights and testing the appliction there and described earlier?

Please let us know how it goes.

Amal

Whatever the problem was, it has been resolved.

I passed along your suggestions to out IT person and it now works. I have no clue what he did.

Hi Patrick

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, a fullscreen window does not remain full size once a new window has been opened then closed.

Please try to reboot the computer once and see if that helps.

If it doesn't work, please repair the installation (Win Only) form the help menu and see if that works for you. Go to Help > Repair Installation and reboot the system.

If it still doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Thanks for your reply, Amal.

"As described, a fullscreen window does not remain full size once a new window has been opened then closed."

That is not correct. In version 2021.001.20150 the fullscreen window does in fact remain full screen once a new window has been closed. I have three computers running that version right now and it does exactly that.

Now that two computers have updated to 2021.005.20058, the original full screen is reduced once the new window has been opened then closed. THAT is a HUGE problem and I need to get it resolved ASAP.
