hi there, i need help. i download pdfs and save them on my desktop folder. i then comment using the adobe acrobat reader. i used to be able to save these documents under the same name as the original downloaded copy (and replace the orgininal downloaded item). now it says i cant do that, now i have to go into save as and then it comes up with a random title (usually just jumbled letters). It does this every time i try to save my updated comments on the same document.

Hi @Caity24367449vw9n

Hope you are doing well.

As per the issue description on the edits are not getting saved. Kindly try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Is it happening with all files or just one file? If it's with a specific file then it could be a file specific issue and if with all files then try these steps:

2. Check if the app is up to date.

2. Try repair installation from the help option from the menu bar. (For windows only)

3. Try resetting preferences. Refer this help article for the same: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harsh
