Hi there
Hope you are doing well and I’m really sorry this happened. That sounds stressful and confusing, and you did the right thing by pausing before paying anyone.
A few quick questions:
- Where did you find these phone numbers — were they from a Google search, an email, or a pop-up message?
- Did either of these callers ask for remote access to your computer, payment details, or personal info?
- Are you trying to use Adobe Acrobat (PDF app) on both your iMac and Windows laptop, or something else?
From what you described:
- Someone said your Adobe account was being used from the USA
- One person said it’s $25.99/month
- Another said it’s a “one-time payment and yours forever”
- One hung up on you
These are classic signs of fake “Adobe support” scam calls. Adobe does not call users like this, by third-party companies. So please do not purchase anything from those numbers or companies.
Adobe plans are usually:
Monthly or yearly subscriptions (for example, Acrobat for PDF work) managed directly through Adobe’s official website or app
If you do want Adobe Acrobat on both Mac and PC, the safe way is:
- Go directly to Adobe’s official site
- Sign in with your email
- Choose Acrobat (PDF app)
- Install it on both devices using the same Adobe account
Hope this informtion will help
